It had been a few days since the brunette agreed to move in with Ashton.

The distance in this household was pretty vivid.

However, that wasn't the case.

Luke didn't want to admit it, but every time he traps himself in the room, he feels a cloud roaming above his head.

The only motive to leave the room was during the late nights in the basement, strumming along to every random tune that occurred in the brunette's mind.

Various songs would come to mind, but the two that stuck the most were Vapour and the new tune he recently put together.

Every time he plays this new song, all the thoughts of the past swirl around him and that's when he'd stop. The articles about him are scattered all around California, and quite possibly the whole world. Management hasn't been at its finest ever since the whole thing unraveled and it hasn't been a settling time for anyone.

As soon as he felt like he was coming back as himself, the progress meter shot back to the bottom and the brunette was back to square one.

Frankly, Ashton knows what this feeling is like. The feeling of having any emotion for someone but realizing that there will always be something that comes in between.

He may have gotten over the situation, but he's never gotten over the feelings.

While the brunette sat in the room, Ashton was busy making breakfast for the pair; pancakes with all kinds of toppings. Food in his mind was the best way to get someone out of a funk.

His plan: to get Luke out.

The last time he helped the brunette, the two stayed indoors. Since they've been inside for so long, with the only exception being the studio, the curly man was determined to bring back the fun in life to the one that needs it most.

"Mornin sunshine!" The curly man announces as he barges into the brunette's room, letting in some light.

"Go away," The brunette proceeds to pull the covers over himself to shield from the light that was let in.

"Nope. Not today."

"Why you so cheery all of a sudden?" He decides to lift himself off the bed realizing he wasn't going to win this battle.

"Alright, looks like someone doesn't want cinnamon pancakes," The curly man leaves the room leaving Luke in confusion until the smell of cinnamon hits his nostrils.

As soon as the scent stuck with him, he made it his mission to go see what was going on. The curiously was burning inside of him to see what could possibly be happening.

"So you weren't lying?" His eyes are directed to the decorated table.

"Why would I lie about cinnamon pancakes?" The curly man hands a plate over to the brunette as they dive into it.

(A/N: I swear it's not even morning as I'm writing this, but this is making me want cinnamon pancakes lmao)

Luke then enjoys every little moment he has with the pancakes in front of him, binging out the lost adolescence that hasn't been seen in a long time. He snapped into reality after realizing Hey Everybody was blaring through the speakers.

"Did you really turn on the Sounds Good Feels Good album?" The brunette questioned as he watched his best friend dance in a very foolish way.

"Hey everybody! We don't have to live this way! We can all get some, we can all get paid!" The curly man screams the lyrics at the top of his lungs at 10 in the morning
