Ever since Ashton went over to Luke's place, he's been slowly getting the brunette back on his feet.

They have spent time together, catching up like old times as Ashton told him what he had missed.

The pair were going to meet up with Calum, Michael, and Crystal since it had been a while since the 5 of them had been in the same room.

Ashton had gone over to Luke's place to go and pick him up, hoping that it would help ease the tension that may come when they all meet up.

In the last few days that Luke and Ashton had hung out, Luke had felt this safe presence with the curly man. When he was alone, he was fearful something bad would happen. Since Ashton had been around, his fear has gotten lower.

Once Ashton sent the text saying he was here, Luke anxiously got up and headed out to his car.

He walks over slowly as his nerves start to pick up. He then opens the car door with a shaky hand and closes it while trying to hide whatever nerves he was feeling.

"Luke?" Ashton says in a calming voice which seems to catch the brunette's attention instantly.

"Yeah?" he responds with a shaky breath.

"You alright?" 

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" The nerves being evident in his voice being caught on by Ashton.

"Your leg is shaking very abnormally," As soon as Ashton puts his hand over his, the shaking somehow stops and Luke looks at him in slight shock with a mix of relief.

Maybe the feelings he's had for the brunette are coming back, but out of all times, why now?

"Luke, they're your friends. Everything will be fine." Ashton says as he reassures Luke.

Ashton was about to take his hand off seeing that it may be too much, but Luke puts his other hand on top to stop him.

"Does it keep you from shaking like crazy?" Luke nods to his response as the curly man lets out a chuckle and looks off into the distance as he starts driving. 

In the middle of the drive, the two ended up clasping hands as if it was a norm for them. It seemed to keep Luke calm and that's all Ashton wanted.

All Ashton wants in the world is to be with him happily without anything coming in the way. The big barrier being management.

They both want to say 'fuck management' so bad, but they don't want the consequence to affect Michael and Calum.

Both of their thoughts went from clouded to clear as Ashton unclasps his hand with Luke to take the car key out which brings the brunette back to reality.

"We're here," Ashton gets out of the car as they have made it to Michael's house where the 5 of them planned to meet up.

Luke walks anxiously behind Ashton as he looks down at his nails. He thinks about how he wants to get that painted hoping that can give him some time to go out of the house. He is startled once the sound of the doorbell rings into the atmosphere. 

"Hey, guys!" She opens the door with a wide smile and welcoming arms to the pair. 

Crystal gives Ashton a brief hug but held an everlasting one with Luke since the last time she saw him was at the festival. 

As soon as Luke took in Crystal's embrace, he felt at ease because Crystal had always been the best friend Luke would want in anyone.

"Heyy! You made it!" Michael paused his FIFA game with Calum so he can go over to Luke. He too engulfs him into a big hug as well and then Calum comes over, showing how much the two of them have missed their best friend.
