DAMIAN

"COME OUT, COME OUT." He whistled, the sounds of screaming passing by him, "wherever you are."

Damian heard them before he saw them. The ground rumbled underneath him, more so than normal anyways, and out from the darkness in front of him did he see the three heads of his favorite pet.

"Cerberus." Damian said nonchalantly, his head tilted to the side as he called for the beast to come forward.

Three meant a lot in the world of the gods. Three was the number of how many Fates there were. Three was the number of the sons of Kronos. Three was also the number of the heads of Cerberus, the gatekeeper of the underworld.

Cerberus was a beast, standing at a good 10 feet. His fur was a deep black, with an almost dark blue tint; like Damian's hair. His heads were easily double the width of Damian's wingspan and frightening to an average person. His teeth were constantly dripping in blood and his long tail ended in a sharp spike.

As Cerberus clambered over to Damian, the right head stayed upright, looking around to make sure nothing happened while the middle and left head lowered to let Damian pet them.

"How's it going bud?" Damian murmured.

Cerberus' two heads grumbled.

Damian had been near the River Styx, surrounded by Lampads- the underworld nymphs- and various souls doing their labors. Since Cerberus is usually moving along the River Styx, watching Charon accept or decline souls entering the underworld.

Once Cerberus got bored of the petting, he lumbered away to go terrorize a new soul who was floating to the Judges of the underworld.

Damian remembered where he was supposed to be going, and quickly changed his direction and headed to his father.

The House of Hades was located between the Elysian Fields, a place of happiness for the souls, and The Plain of Judgement. It was a looming black castle with black spikes that almost looked like a dark alternative of a medieval church.

The entrance wasn't guarded, because it was highly doubtful anyone would want to attempt to enter the House of Hades.

"Father." Damian drawled out, loud enough to be heard throughout the quiet castle.
