CALLISTA
"HI, SO REMEMBER ME? Yeah, um- I just w-wanted to ask you if you wanted to hang sometime? Um..." Callista groaned as she leaned over the sink, not wanting to look at the mirror anymore.
"Jesus, stop stuttering bitch." Callista muttered to herself before looking back up at the mirror, but pretending it was Alex she was looking at. "Hey Alex, or Alexandros, hm... no I'm sticking with Alex. Remember me? The ex? We dated for three years, broke up because I got p-pregnant..." Callista stopped speaking with a forced laugh.
"What she hell am I doing?" She asked herself, walking out of her bathroom and flopping onto her bed.
She knew exactly what she was doing.
Today was Wednesday, about a week after having cried herself to sleep in her room after listening to Alex's playlist for her. Since then, she's mostly stayed in her house, listened to her siblings bickering, or been forced to go to class. Callista has been thinking about her actions since the breakup, and regretting everything she ever did.
Ever since she started letting him into her head, she hasn't been able to stop thinking about him.
His face constantly pops into her head. His tall frame, how he was easily able to top Callista's 6'0 height. How he was always able to make her laugh, snapping her out of whatever sad mood she had put herself in. The way his eyes, his beautiful heterochromia eyes, looked at her with so much love and so much adoration. The way their bodies fit so perfectly together- almost as if they were meant to be.
But they weren't meant to be.
Because Callista couldn't help but feel as if something were missing the entire time they were together. Callista couldn't help but feel as if she needed to wait for something to come for her to feel complete. It sucked, knowing that Alexandros himself couldn't complete her, but she had to go with her gut. How could someone who was so perfect not be the one?
Callista has been asking herself that a lot.
Their breakup was a messy one. Callista had been crying when Alexandros had found her that day lying in their bed. He had hurried over to her, asking her what was wrong and why she was crying. She couldn't even get the words out of her mouth because she was so scared.
