Chapter 10

Matteo

I sigh rubbing my hands down my face, signing off the paper work, I look down at my phone as it starts to ring.

I answer it putting it to my ear, "Speak." I say continuing to sign my paper work, "He is in town, sir." I hear.

I stop for a second before continuing, "Wait for the attack." I speak, they show they understand and I hang up.

I sign off the rest of my papers before getting up and heading back to my room to Parrish, as I walk in she turns around.

"Where'd you go?" She asks, as I get into the bed and wrap my arm around her, "To my office." I say.

"Had to sign off some paperwork, go back to sleep, it only 3am." I say and she nods leaning on my shoulder going back to sleep.

I start to think while she sleeped, maybe it would be best if she stayed at her house till this blows over.

But she would be safer with me, or her parents, she can't be alone right now, especially now.

I wrap my arm around her tighter, before turning over and going to sleep, still thinking about my decision.

Parrish

I sigh as I get up, get in the shower, and brush my teeth, I peek my head back out the bathroom and Matteo's getting up.

He walks in the bathroom pecking my lips before brushing his teeth then grabing his clothes to shower.

I walk out and down stairs and open the fridge seeing all the strawberries were gone, I huffed and ate some grapes.

After about 20 minutes of me eating he came downstairs, "What's wrong?" He asked, "I'm going to the store." I say.

"My strawberries are gon." I pout and he laughs, I huff and grab my keys, "I'll be back." I state walking out.

I can still hear him laughing as I walk out, I get inside my car and realize I need to stop by my house.

I text Matteo and pull out the drive way making my way to Walmart, I get over what I came for then go to my house.

I walk up to my door and open it, starting to grab what I need, my phone dings making me pick it up and see a text from Matteo.

Him basically saying he'll help me get my stuff, and he's close by, I respond with an okay and countiung what I was doing.

I hear a knock at the door, I put ny stuff down dusting my hands off and walking to the door opening it.

I expected to see Matteo but I see an Italian man and a darkskin man smiling at me, "Hi we're you're new neighbor's." He states.

I smile back and wave, "Hi my names Parrish, and yours?" I question, he laughs, "Silly me, i'm Gustan, and this is Darrius." He says.

I nod, "Well it's nice to meet you I might not be here often so don't be offended if I don't answer the door." I laugh.

Guston nods and laughs with me and Darrius just smiles, they say their goodbyes, then walk back into their home.

Just then Matteo walks up wrapping his arms around me, "Why are you standing outside?" He asks kissing my head.

"I was talking to my new neighbors." I say, he nods, "Come on let's get your stuff." He says and I nod walking back into the house.

He follows and help me bring the stuff down before we separate and get into diffrent cars, we drive home.

He helps me bring the stuff inside the just sticks to my side as I unpack the stuff, "Why not help me?" I say huffing.

" you got it baby I fully suport you." He says and I jump at him continuing to put my stuff up as he just watches me.

"I'm gonna punch you in the chest, make me some food and i'll be happy with you." I say and he laughs nodding his head.

"What ever you say bambina." He says pecking my lips and walking out the room, it takes me an hour before I finish.

I walk downstairs and he's putting the food on plates, I love the aroma, "It smells good." I say walking over to him.

"Well if you ever need shrimp alferdo come to me, especially cause it's the only thing I can cook." He says and I laugh.

"It okay baby at least I can cook." I say kissing his cheek, I grab my food, and walk to the island before I start to eat.

The door opens and Deablo walks in, "I got beef with you, you at my strawberries?" I question and he shakes his head.

"No you did the last I came over." He states, I think about it, then recall these events, "Oh yea." I say.

I turn around and continue to eat like nothing happened and I wasn't going to throw this knife in my hand at him.

He pauses for a second before grabing some food and walking to Matteo's office, Matteo finishes and walk over to me.

"I gotta talk to my cousin really quick i'll be back." He states, I nod waving it off, as I continue eating.

He laughs at this, then kisses my head walking to his office, I finish then eat more, before walking to the couch.

Deablo walks out and looks at me, "I'm heading out see you later." He states and I smile waving bye.

I get up and walk to Matteo's office walking over to him climbing in his lap and curling into him going to sleep.

He just continues what he's doing as he rubs my back, pretty soon i'm out like a light.
