Chapter 30

Parrish

I made Matteo sleep in the guest bedroom last night, and I had agreed to meet my birth parents today.

I walked down the hallway to the stairs, and into the kitchen where Matteo sat drinking some coffee.

I just look at him before walking towards the fridge. I sit the fruit on the table and grab a smoothie out of the fridge.

I sit it at the counter and start to cut up some fruits, it's not long before I feel somebody take the knife from me.

I look up and Matteo's looking at me, "You should be careful, you should have just asked me to do it for you." He says.

"I don't need you to do it for me I can do it myself." I roll my eyes and grab my smoothie sitting at the counter.

I smile at the encouraging text Deablo sent me for seeing my parents, I saw them a couple times over the three years.

It's been okay, they haven't really tried anything out of the ordinary or anything. As Matteo finished cutting up my fruit he placed it in a bowl.

He grabbed a fork and washed it off and put it in the bowl handing it to me. He sat down beside me and I wanted to be petty.

I moved over a seat and he moved over to the seat next to me and we kept doing that until I was standing.

"Would you stop being petty, I'm sorry I didn't mean it." He starts and I roll my eyes at this.

"No, if that's the way you feel fine." I say grabbing my bowl and the top to the bowl and walk towards the exit.

He hurries and stand up, and wrapped his arms around my waist. "That's not how I feel and I don't want you to stress or to walk out of the house upset." He states.

"Yeah, well I'm walking out of this house upset because the man I now have 3 kids with doesn't trust me." I say and unwrap his arms from around my waist.

I started walking towards the front door with him following behind me I roll my eyes opening the front door.

"I don't trust you, I love you, I was stress and I wasn't thinking straight." He says and I look at him.

"I stress all the time, you come home at 3 o' clock in the morning half nights I don't accuse you of anything ever because I trust you." I say.

He just looks at me and I roll my eyes again and walk away from him towards my car, and look at the guards watching us.

"Che cazzo state guardando tornate al lavoro!" He yells at the guards and I roll my eyes opening my car door.
(What the fuck are you all looking at get back to work!)

They all looked away and I got in my car and drove off towards the shop. As I pulled up to the book shop I own I rub my forehead.

I sit up and walk inside and grab my bag walk towards the entrance to the shop. I walk inside and nod at the young lady working at the desk.

Her name was Serria and she's still in high school, in her senior year, she's been working for me since I opened the shop.

Two years ago.

"Hi Parrish." She says waving and I smile waving back, "Hi serria." I say as I walk to the back.

I put my stuff down and start to type on my computer to get everything in order and started logging things in my book.

I look at the time a couple hours later and walk out the back room seeing Serria pack up, "Selena's coming in for her shift." She states as she continues.

"Okay see you later." I state as she nods with a smile and walks out I grab everything I need when I see Selena walk inside.

"Hi Parrish, I have everything under control." She says with a smile as I smile back, "I'm sure you do." I says with a smile.

I walk out and walk towards my car heading towards the diner, I pull into the diners parking lot and put my car in park.

I get out the car, I walk towards the entrance and walk inside to see my parents an brother sitting at the table.

I smile and wave before heading over towards their table, "Hey it's been a minute." I state, as I take a seat at the table.

"We know, we haven't seen you for like a month I was excited." She says and I smile. We all fall into a conversation after the waiter takes our orders.

"I actually had something to tell you guys," I announce, and they all look at me with questionable glances.

"I'm pregnant!" I state, and their confused glances turned to smiles, "Congratulations,we're very happy for you, tell Matteo we're happy for him as well." Jared says.

(I don't remember if I named them, just tell me if I did and tell me their names please).

"Man i'll be an uncle of three," Isaiah says and I smile and nod my head yes, "Well look at that at only 27," I state and we laugh together.

I look at the time for a quick second before looking back up at them, and zoning back into the conversation.

After another hour or so I looked at them and smiled, "Well it's time for me to go." I say and they nod.

"Let me walk you to your car." My brother states and I nod my head and grab his awaiting hand.

We walk to my car talking about nothing, and when we finally get to my car I hug him goodbye and get inside.

I start my car and before I could put my car in drive, a cloth was put over my mouth making me reach back.

I tried not to inhale the fumes but it was getting harder to breath, then I felt something prick my arms.

Then I had no choice but to inhale the fumes, but I managed to scratch my attackers arm and face up.

I slumped in my seat and all I saw was black, and I feel into a deep sleep.

Isaiah

I walk back inside the restaurant and realize that Parrish left her money sitting on the table.

She was always trying to be so generous, "I'm going to bring this back to Parrish." I state and my parents look at my hand and nod there heads.

"Okay." My mom says as I walk out the restaurant and then I see Parish slumping down and furrow my eyebrows.

I start running to the car just as the car pulls out almost hitting me, I could partially see the drivers arm and face.

Good thing her windows aren't that tinted, I could see their arm scratched up and their cheek.

I still couldn't tell who it was, "I hurry and hop in my car following behind the car and I guess they realized.

They tried to lose my but I was on their tail, I call my parents and told them to call Parrish's dads.

I then called Matteo, "Speak." His voice sounded into the phone, "It's Isaiah, Parrish's had been kidnapped." I say.

There's a pause on the phone before I hear a bunch of moving, "Where? How do you know?" He questions.

I explain to him what I saw and he starts barking orders in Spanish and Italian, "Did you call her dad's?" He questions.

"Yes." I state and he sighs, before I hear an engine start, "Where are you I'll help you tail them." He says.

"I'm-" My words are cut off by an SUV hitting my truck, after a moment I realize it was intentional.

"I'm on Jefferson and 35th!" I shout before the SVU hits the car again and drives off as people surround the car.

I tried to stay conscious but after a while I couldn't stay awake anymore and I blacked out.
