Sasuke

I've been attending Konoha High for about a month now. I must say the people here are nice, it's a friendly town, pretty populated and the people are great, what's not to love?

I walked down the busy hallway of students and the occasional teacher. Walking to anywhere in the school was difficult, the amount of people they accepted to attend this school was astounding. It shouldn't have been possible to accept all these people to be honest.

After a long walk through the entire crowd or people, I found my classroom, room 106 A. Before I could even grab the handle of the door, someone else had opened it and three students pushed me out of the way to leave. I felt like cussing them out before I saw them disappear into the crowd.

I ignored that small interaction of mine and peered into the classroom. There were a ton of students as usual, sitting arrangements made it so they were able to sit two people to a desk. That left me with someone to share a desk with, and I hope that 'someone' isn't here today.

I walked to my seat in the smack center of the classroom and sat down. I grabbed the heavy textbook out of my blue book bag, and placed it carefully on my desk so I didn't bang it. I don't even know why I this to school anymore, we never even use it. While I was pondering about the stupid choices I've made, someone had arrived and wanted to make sure I noticed them.

"Hey, Sasuke!" A bubble voice called my name. Okay, everything is great, except for the fact that this guy keeps bugging me.

I look behind me to see the blonde male that never failed to bother me. Even though I've made it fairly clear I prefer to be alone, the guy won't take the hint.

I sigh, "Hello Naruto.." I reply. His face lights up, "So you've finally decided to start responding! That's a great next step!" he said, giving me a thumbs-up as he sat down next to me.

"Anyways, you free during lunch? Of course, you are, what a question, you have no friends, of course, you're free, no offense of course," Naruto rambled on.

"Hn," I replied, which translated to 'None taken.' For some reason, this boy could understand it fluently, as if he was preparing for this moment his entire life.

"Anyways, I heard that Hinata and Kiba broke up? You think I got a shot?" Naruto asked him, as he pointed to the shy girl with dark hair, who was seated in the front of the class, while she was surrounded by a group of girls, engaged in conversation.

I sighed, I blinked my eyes, and the next thing you know my eyes were a deep scarlet. Let me explain, I'm part of the Uchiha clan. My clan passes down a special eye, called the Sharingan.

The Sharingan allows the user to see the red strings of everyone they see. The red strings are strings that connect a person to their soulmate.

I used my Sharingan and looked at Hinata's string. The scarlet string attached to her took a couple of turns around the desks but eventually led me out of the classroom.

I close my eyes, deactivating the Sharingan, "Not a chance," I confirmed, hoping not to get the poor boys hopes up.

Naruto gave him a disappointed look, "Aw, well, I've always got men." Naruto stated, "There are always more girls, they're better than the boys anyways," I said, trying to convince Naruto to not go after a boy that would probably crush his heart, at least the girls were somewhat nicer at turning people down.

"Eh, they're not my type," Naruto said, it was common for people in Konoha to be LGBTQ. Who knows why.

"You don't get to choose. If someone genuinely likes you, you better fucking marry them. There'll never be another that'll like you, so don't be picky." I suggested.

I don't like being rude all that much. In fact, I kind of hate it when people are being dicks, I just wanted this annoying kid to leave me alone.

"Aww, you care, Sasuke," Naruto cooed. I rolled my eyes. Why can't this moron get the message? "Sure, idiot,"

The class wasn't starting, knowing how late Kakashi was going to be, I look at the strings to see who's which person's soulmate. It's quite interesting, like the fact that Ino and Sakura are soulmates despite them being rivals, but the red strings always have a way for you two to end up together.

"Hey, Sasuke?"

"Hn?"

"Can we skip? Kakashi is just going to come in the last five minutes of class like usual,"

"Sure"

We get up and walked out the door. I still have my Sharingan activated, "Hey Naruto, I need to go somewhere just follow me,"

Naruto nodded, and followed me like a lost puppy, as I followed the scarlet string. I was curious, despite me trying to not follow the string all these years, my curiousity decided to have a sudden spike.

I followed the string past the first year's classrooms, the bathrooms, and the gym with Naruto completely confused about what I was trying to accomplish.

"Hey, Sasuke? Where are we going?" He asked, worried for me. "Trust me," was all I said to him as I walk up the stairs that led to the rooftop.

I opened the door and saw the strangest thing in my entire life. The end of my string, but no one was there.

My string had been cut off.

A/N this is something I thought of, tell me if you like it or not.
