As the popular girls passed by the table, Kim Lip wondered why there was such a thing as 'The Popular Girls". She didn't see the point in there being a group that thought they were better than everyone else. In the end everyone graduates and goes their separate ways.

Kim Lip packed her things and walked to her next class. She had Geometry next period. One of the girls purposely ran into Kim Lip causing her notebook to slip out of her arm. The notebook dropped and the group of girls giggled at the look of frustration on Kim Lips' face. They always did this because they knew it pissed her off, but Kim Lip never did anything to stop it because there was no point in making an effort towards something so stupid just to give them another reaction.

Kim Lip glared at the girl and bent down to pick up her notebook. The girls walked away dying of laughter. One of the girls looked back at Kim Lip but didn't say anything. Kim Lip picked her stuff up and proceeded to her next class.

She sat quietly at her table scrolling through her Instagram. She came across a page that posted a recent photo of a lake. It looked so peaceful there with the sunset. Kim Lip remembers going to the beach with her family as a toddler and running through the sand, filled with happiness and joy...something that is nonexistent to her now.

She followed the account and scrolled further and found more photos of lakes, beaches, and anything that had to do with water really. She suddenly felt joy in seeing these photos, they reminded her of the past.

She wished things hadn't changed so fast...or changed at all for that matter. All she wanted was a chance to get to know her mother. She wanted to be able to hug her one more time or talk to her. She hated having to live with her father, a drunk who curses at her for breathing a little too loud or running down the stairs too fast, or forgetting to make dinner when she has so much work to do. All she wanted was for her mother to come back, but her mother had left them behind. She left Kim Lip behind with an alcoholic idiot who gives her orders 24/7 and treats her like she's just another girl.

---------------------------------------------------------

The bell rung and Kim Lip quickly gathered her things. Her teacher called her over. She stopped and sighed, she turned around and presented herself with a fake soft smile.

"Am I in trouble?" she asked

"Oh no, not at all. I just wanted to discuss your grade in my class" Mrs. Park chuckled

"Kim Lip, you're an outstanding student- but your grade has been dropping massively in the past two weeks...is everything okay?" Mrs. Park asked in a concerned tone.
