Chapter 24: Oh Love

Hyunjin POV

"Hey, you got any plans for today?" Heejin spoke as she smiled my way from the kitchen

I looked up from my textbook and shook my head

"I'm going over to my friend's dorm room in a few minutes to hang out if you want to tag along" Heejin picked up her smoothie and took a swig

"Which friend?" I raised an eyebrow in curiosity

"Kim Jiwoo" Heejin averted eye contact with Hyunjin

"oh" I softly replied and continued to my work

"Is she... your girlf-"

"ANIYO! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" she rushed over and sat across from me at the table

"I'm just teasing you puppy!" I laughed

"W-what did you just call me?" Heejin turned beet red and her eyes widened

I froze up as I realized what had just come out of my mouth

"I... I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" I began to pick up my worksheets from the table

"No, it's fine! I kind of like it... it's cute" Heejin chuckled

"Uhm what did I just witness?" A voice sounded from the doorway

"Haseul Unnie! We were just joking around!!" Heejin sprung out of her seat quickly and sprinted into the kitchen

"Ya, you guys are so weird these days" Haseul shook her head and walked into her room

I peeked over and saw Heejin scolding herself while washing out her smoothie cup.

"Yeah, sure I'll go why not?" I closed my textbook and put on my coat

Chaewon POV

"I think she likes you" Heejin Hummed

"No way. She used her stupid laser vision and hit me One Time! just Once! but that doesn't mean she's into me... does it?" Sooyoung furrowed her eyebrows and thought deeply

"Anyways!!! What about you Hyunjin?" Jiwoo changed the subject and focused on the raven-haired girl

"Huh? Me?... Uhm well, there was this one instance where-" Hyunjin continued

I was distracted by a small noise coming from behind the girls.

"pssst~! pssst~! chaewon~!" Someone whispered my name secretively

My gaze snapped to the hallway and noticed Heejin motioning for me to walk over to her

"Excuse me guys I'll be right back!" I smiled and sped walked away

I approached her with a confused look on my face "Yeah?"

"Come come! We'll talk in here" She led me into my room and shut the door behind her

What was she up to? 

"What do you need?" I questioned

"Listen, the other day I was walking back home and I stumbled across your roommate and her friend arguing in the hallway" 

"Was it Sooyoung and Jiwoo?" I raised an eyebrow 'what would this have to do with me?'

"No the other one... the scary one~" She shivered as the thought of "Olivia- Terrifying- Hye" crossed her mind

"Olivia? Yeah okay go on" I motioned for her to continue

"When I was nearby I got this sick feeling in my gut- Like I wanted to throw up! and I hid nearby in case things got way too out of hand between them. Olivia dragged her into the stairwell and threatened her to stay away from you. I don't know why she was protecting you but you need to keep an eye out for that red-haired girl." Heejin bit her lip

"Fuck! I knew something wasn't right with her. Did she hurt Yeji?" I questioned in fear

"She slammed her against the wall and then left suddenly. I don't know how she was there at the right time but she saved your life. She would never do that for just anyone Chaewon." Heejin finished

"W-what are you trying to s-"

"She beat up her own best friend for you! There is something going on here and You need to get to the bottom of it." Heejin poked my shoulder

"I'll see if I can talk to her sometime soon... thanks for telling me about this Heejin" I gave her a quick hug

The door opened revealing a very confused Sooyoung

"Yoo~ I didn't know you two-" 

"NO NO NO! IT'S NOT AT ALL WHAT YOU THINK!" Heejin pushed me off and sprinted out of the room faster than the blink of an eye

"What's up with her? I was only joking..." Sooyoung laughed

"I've no idea. What did you need?" I stood up and made my way over

"I ordered some chicken and Beer and I thought you'd like to know but I didn't know y'all were in the middle of making out" She exited the room and chuckled

"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" I heard Heejin shout from the living room

I lay in bed staring at my ceiling wondering if I really had feelings for Olivia. She was beautiful, confident, and strong, but she was also kind of scary. Nobody is born just shutting people out of their lives... Something must've happened for her to build up a wall between herself and the people around her.

I closed my eyes and I saw nothing but Her. She was sleeping peacefully. Her triangle-shaped mouth looked neutral rather than in her usual frown. I felt my stomach begin to do backflips at the memory.

*flashback*

"I'll consider this as part of your payback that you owe me... and don't tell anyone about this"

My heart fluttered at her sudden touch

Her hands were cold yet so comforting at the same time. She let go of my wrist and I exited the room with a flushed face.

*end of flashback*

'Am I catching feelings for Olivia Hye?' I slapped myself trying to remove those thoughts from my head but the harder I tried the more intrusive the thoughts became.
