Hiccup's POV Months go by (around the time Astrid and Hiccup's child will be born)
Berk was at peace, my chief duties had shrunk on some days. Star and Thunder were big enough to fly. Toothless, Aurora, and I are going out today to teach them. Astrid planned to lay in bed all day as it was just about time to have our baby. I woke up around 7am and rushed out the door. I fed the dragons and Star and Thunder decided to lick me to death.
Star! Thunder! You know that doesn't wash out!
Sorry Hiccup! We're just so excited to finally go flying today!
Aurora came over along with Kelli and nudged the dragons off of me. I sat up wiping off the spitt flinging it at the baby dragons. We all flew to the cliff. Aurora carried Kelli and the baby dragons while I just went with Toothless. I got off looking out at the morning sun. I sighed. Just a few months ago we fired up a ship honoring my dad. Aurora nudged me showing me a gummy smile. Toothless nudged me on the other side.
I turned to Star and Thunder. Flying is very simple. All you have to do is run off the cliff opening your wings and let the wind catch you. Aurora, Toothless, and I will be there to catch you.
Star went first. She took a running start and jumped off the cliff. She fell a little bit but then began flapping her wings. She was flying!!!! Thunder repeated the action flying after his sister. I cheered pumping my fists into the air. YEAH!
