Alexandra couldn't help but stare in awe at the building in front of her, it was massive and the courtyard was full of people. She looked down at the time table in her hand in complete confusion, having absolutely no idea where she was going or where she was meant to be going. She walked forward though the crowd, weaving between people, which wasn't too hard for her considering how small she was.
Tom was chatting with a few of his mates but he tuned out as soon as he spotted a girl with long brown and pink hair looking down at the paper in her hands with a totally confused expression on her face, she was beautiful.
"Are you even listening to what I am saying to you?" One of the other specialists, Harry asked in annoyance
"Hey um, ill Catch up with you guys later" he quickly muttered out, not even bothering to look at them and making his way straight over to the girl
"Can I just say, that you look totally and completely lost" Tom says and the girl quickly looks up from her timetable to look at him and she gives him a small grin
"Lost? Me? Noooo never" she sarcastically exaggerates, causing the boy to grin and chuckle lightly under his breath
"You make that very believable. Nice accent by the way, so where are you from?" Tom asks her with a grin as they walk through the school yard together
She looked up at him with raised eyebrows as if she were contemplating on whether or not she should answer the question, afterglow, she had just met him "Australia," she mutters out with a smile "I like your British accent by the way, from what I have heard a lot of the people around here are Americans"
Tom grins widely "yeah, so what brings you all the way to Alfea then, I'm guessing no fairy colleges over in Australia then?" He asks her and she shakes her head almost instantly
"No there isn't and my parents both went here when they were younger so I guess it was kind of expected for me to go here" She muttered out softly a small frown making its way onto her face as the lie slips past her lips, she quickly puts a fake smile onto her face and looks back up at him "well I should get going, I don't want to be late to anything on my first day and I need to organise my room"
"Well even though you aren't lost" he says sarcastically, his thick British accent shining through like a ray of sunlight, "cause you most defiantly aren't. This over here is the specialists hall and then the fairy hall is that big building over there" he says and points to the building that was a little way behind her, in the direction that was the opposite way to which she was walking
Her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment but she quickly laughed "yeah I knew that, I was just taking a nice stroll you know, taking in my surroundings and looking at all of the great campus full of fantastic people" she playfully said and he grinned and was about to reply but was cut off by a male with a deep voice
"Quit perving on the first years" the boy said, he was tall and had brown hair and blue eyes and Alex could already tell that he wasn't exactly the nicest person to hang out with, but she was sure that he had a story, and his story was sad. She could see the broken look that resided deep in his eyes, he was hiding his emotions with a cold exterior, she could feel it.
"Riv just give me one second yeah?" Tom asks and turns around to glare at the boy
'Why? Are you going to chase her? Make her fall in love with you and then leave her like you do with all of the others" Riven asks him with a smirk on his face and it instantly became uncomfortable and Alex wanted nothing more than to get away from them both, she was disappointed to find out that Tom was a player but she wasn't super surprised, he was cute and he was British, girls probably felt weak in their knees when he would talk to them, she know she did, but she had more respect for herself than that so she knew she had to leave.
"Right well, I'm going to go, thanks for the help,I can handle myself from here" she says quickly and then begins to drag her bags towards the building
"Wait, I never caught your name" he called out after her and she wanted to ignore him but she couldn't help herself
"I don't remember throwing it!" She called back and then left. Tom watched as she left, his eyes lingering on her leaving form for longer than they should have
"Nice going you toss pot" Tom snarled and Riven through his arm around Toms shoulder and laughed and then dragged him over towards Sky.
Alex finally found the girl that she was looking for and next to her was a girl with red hair and the tension between them was so think that you could cut it with a knife "you must be ALexandra, I'm Stella and this is bloom" the pretty girl with blonde hair states with a fake smile and sticks her hand out for Alex to shake
Alex smiles softly and then shakes the girls hand "nice to meet you" she says to both of the fairies and then the three of them begin to walk down the halls of the fairy hall
"Miss Dowling tells me that it is both of your first time in the other world" Stella says to bloom and Alex and the two girls nod their head "I hope your trip was painless"
"Miss dowling gave me a time and location where there would be a gateway. It was in the middle of nowhere so it wasn't exactly convenient" Bloom states sarcastically
"My parents helped me get in and I've known about this place for basically my whole life" Alex states
"Miss Dowling likes to do thinks by the book and keeping your world a secret from ours is chapter 1" Stella says, mainly aiming it towards Bloom "no matter how inconvenient it may be" she continued and holds her hand up in the air towards Bloom showing her a ring that glowed "but if you ever want to go back"
"That's a whole lot of ring" Bloom comments with a laugh
"Family heirloom. Gateway ring" Stella commments proudly with her nose stuck up high in the air "the only thing that keeps you sane in this place is the ability to leave it. Your world may not always be thrilling but it beats this one"
"Well I find that hard to believe" Alex suddenly comments and they finally make it to the Headmistress office, Alex waited outside while Bloom went in and talked and then it was her turn. She walked into the room and looked around, it was very large.
"Think of Alfea as your new home" Dowling says "I'm sure it must be overwhelming being at a new school but I promise you that I am going to make it my mission to make sure that you can control your abilities"
"So when do we start?" Alex asks, wanting to be able to get control over her powers as soon as possible, because the truth was, this wasn't the first school that she had gone too, she had been expelled from multiple schools after losing control, she has caused serious damage and has hurt people
"Classes begin tomorrow and you will start with the basics, I know that you have trouble controlling your abilities and to be honest with you, I have never seen anyone like you, a fairy with so many different abilities, I don't even know what to call you to be completely honest, I can't call you a water fairy,or a mind fairy or a fire fairy, because you're so much more than that, in fact I'm concerned" Dowling says and Alex could see that she was trying to keep a straight face "the power in you is so strong and I cannot blame you for not being able to control it, but I believe you will be able to"
"What if I loose control and someone gets hurt in the process" she whispers out silently "or what if they think that I'm a freak because I'm different"
"I have faith in you Alexandra, just as I have faith in all of the other students in this school, I believe that if you find the right people to guide you, then you will be able to learn to control your abilities" Dowling says as she eyes down Alex
