Today was incredibly long. Meredith, Cristina, George, and Bailey was telling me how much of a dumbass I was for hurting Jo, like that. Me and Arizona had a patient die on the table. To make matters even worse Izzie showed up to beg for her job back.

"But Chief I need this job. I can do better, it won't happen again I swear." She sounded like she was begging for her job back at walmart, instead of asking to be back at the hospital. "Stevens, I let you go. You need to spread your wings and find a new job " Webber said walking away from her. I accidentally let out a loud laugh, causing Izzie, Webber, Bailey, and Torres to look at me.

"What's so funny Karev?" Bailey asked. I shook my head and began to walk away. "you really shouldn't be laughing, you let the possible love of your life fall in love with someone else. So you gave up something great because you where scared. You are in no place to find this funny." Bailey finished. Right as she stopped talking Izzie started laughing, and I felt like I was going to cry. "Stevens you can't laugh either, because your fired." Bailey added, leaving the room.

It was finally the end of the day, I was able to go home. Get some rest, think about Jo I'm private. Right as I got there I saw Jo sitting on the porch swing with her head in her hands. What was she doing here? I thought she said she never wanted to see me again. "Look Jo I thought you .." she interrupted me. "Can I stay here?" That's when I saw her face. She had a huge bruise around her eyes. And a few scratches on her face with even more bruises.

What the hell happened? Did her piece of shit of a boyfriend do this to her. "Yes." I said, helping her off the swing and taking her instead of the house. I sat her on my bed. "I'll be right back." I said, as I run downstairs and got an ice pack. When I got back she was waiting for me, she looked terrified. Not of me, of the situation that just happened. I sat next to her and put the ice pack on her eye, gently.

"You have to tell me what the hell happened to you, Jo " I said, looking at her. "I told him I wanted to break up with him, I felt like there was something wrong with him, he reminded me of someone. Well when I suggested that he hit me." After those words I was beyond pissed. 'remind me of someone' she was talking about her husband. Unlike her husband this man was reachable, I had to go now. He probably was still at the hospital.

I took the ice pack and gently pushed her into the bed. "you need some rest " she nodded. "Thank you, Alex." I smiled at her, it was great to see her again. "Yeah, don't mention it." I then left to find her idiot boyfriend.
