Chapter 15

With those words, he slammed my back on the shower wall causing me to wince. The removal of each item made my wolf antsy as she wanted it now and she didn't want to wait. I reached for his shorts to pull them down. He let me on my feet as he turned me around and found his way to my aching sweet spot. Vincent moved my leg up and positioned himself around my entrance.

"I want you to beg me, Athena."

I let out a whine almost begging for scraps. I hated this talking and the needing for encouragement like just fucking do it. But he would budge until I said it.

"Please fuck me."

And with that, he entered in me causing me to reach for pretty much nothing and allowing a whine to slip my mouth.

"You feel fucking amazing." He whispered in my ear right before taking every piece of my body and making it his bitch. His hand wrapped around my throat from the front as he slammed in and out of me making my legs want to fall apart right here. He removed his hand as he placed his hand on my bead and began playing with it until there was no fighting, just complete and utter pleasure. "You better pull out, because, no babies," I demanded, which earned me a small laugh, and with the last thrust my nails dug into his neck, and blood poured out from my damage. As I screamed in complete and utter bliss, "Too late." I heard my wolf speak which made me retract as he finished leaving me trying to find my breath and in horror.

"What do you mean too late?" I asked her.

"Athena, something bad is happening here." I heard Jack say.

I had my wolf and Alpha speaking at the same time and I couldn't process. He was looking at me in confusion. A ringing feeling came through my head making my head start to spin. I buckled down with my hands on each side of my head.

"You must have never heard the tale of two brothers, huh? You've unleashed it" She said.

It made me think really hard. I have never heard of such a thing and now I need to see it. What is this? Jack's next words made me hurt. My heart went completely ballistic and I knew something was wrong.

"Athena, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Vincent asked.

I was in shock trying to see how this worked or what happened. I shocked my head no but I needed to think. The ringing and pain went away but that's when Inoticed It was still daylight and there were sounds coming from downstairs but I didn't want to deal with it. I walked to the bedroom and opened the window. Before he could say something I jumped out right before I shifted into my wolf. I ran until I couldn't stop. Tears were forming in my eyes. I needed to get back to my Alpha now. I was connected with my Alpha and the goal to protect him at all costs. My wolf knew it too as we ran not realizing this pack was under fire too. My loyalty was towards my pack and even being weak I still had to fight. So I ran with all my sanity.

Vincent

The pure terror that Athena had on her face was startling. I thought we had a nice time but maybe it wasn't the sex. Was Jack saying something to her? Then it was confirmed when each Alpha to the nearing packs said that their pack was under attack. All of us were being attacked and we didn't know by who. She shifted and ran out which means so was Jack's. I know she is our Luna but not officially so she was running towards her Alpha to protect him and it killed me but my main focus wasn't her at this moment it was protecting my pack. I went downstairs and saw everyone scrambling as people were being torn apart and everyone was fighting. I ran outside to find the main source and there wasn't one. It's like they were being controlled by some unknown force. We seemed too outnumbered but the fight wasn't over. I started fighting off some wolves as much as I could but we were losing this battle and all the other Alpha's confirmed either their pack was non-existent or about to be. The strange thing was they weren't after me, they were after everyone else. I saw their eyes glowing red, and these wolves weren't like any other. They looked different and I had never seen them before. None of it made sense because there weren't any threats as far as I knew. A raging siren brought me down to my knees when a flashing light disarmed me. I couldn't move or think or process.

"ATHENA!" I screamed!

We were all going to die and my mate was nowhere near me. The siren yell became so overbearing everything went black.

ATHENA

I ran as fast as I could without stopping. My pack was nearly 5 hours away but I needed to get there and protect my Alpha. My legs were sore and hurting but I couldn't stop now. How one of the best moments of my life led to a disaster?

"Tell me what you meant by the tale of two brothers!" I demanded of my wolf but she remained silent. She wouldn't talk to me.

"Jack, can you hear me?"

I reached out to him but there was no reply from him. The connection wasn't severed so that meant he was alive. I was going to be too late. I know it. I picked up my speed and even cut into the human world where now I was being chased by animal control. I had no choice but to outrun them. I had to get to Jack. I found myself still running and was crossing tons of packs at this point but no one was coming. I don't think I ever ran so fast in my life. I was about 100 miles from the pack when suddenly a pain shook my body as the bond severed from Jack. I came down as I let out a howl of the pain of losing my Alpha. Jack was dead. I hugged my stomach trying to tone down the hurting. When you lose your pack leader you will mourn as badly as losing your mate. The air-filled me with howls of wolves. It was so loud car alarms went off. It was the first time in decades the earth stood silent. There was only one time in history where the earth was dead silent and it was back in 1765 when the moon goddess was ashamed of her kind and wanted a redo. Jack once told me but I wasn't really paying attention at the time. And now he would never be able to tell me. I shifted back into my sad wolf and carried on to my pack to defend what was left of there. I didn't know what I was going to find when I got there but we were mourning. It was so dead silent all you can hear is the sound of my paws hitting the ground as I ran all the way back to Kangston. I wanted to curl up and cry but I needed to be strong for Jack. I knew he fought as hard as he could. That was the type of man he was. He would die a thousand times if that meant everyone gets to eat. Who would want to hurt him and why would they choose such a random time. How didn't anyone know either? There had to have been some kind of clue that there was going to be a life-changing attack happening or they weren't saying anything. My mind filled with the sorrow of Jack that I couldn't think of Vincent, my mate. Was he dead? We weren't officially mated so I wouldn't know if he died. Now I was hurting with the thought that I lost everyone.
