Chapter 20

The night had come and gone but I was restless. I started thinking of all that could go wrong. I was up by 6 am and got ready and packed while he and the kids slept the day away. I even took the liberty to load the SUV so it would be less work for both of us. When I got upstairs he was already changing his clothes and so were the kids. "Good Morning," I told him and laid against the door. Jack walked up to me and placed both hands on the side of my neck before bringing me into a passionate kiss. His hands cascaded to my hips as he brought me closer to him while backing me up to the wall. He was extra possessive today and I loved this side of him. "You look so god damn sexy in that dress." He said in a very husky voice that wanted to drive me over the edge. I shut the door so that no one walked in. "Yeah, what are you going to do about it? His hand had reached under my dress and into my panties where he found my sweet girl. He rubbed around in circles as I moaned under his grasp. My core was drenched in pleasure as he took full control of me. Capturing my lips with his Jack slipped off my panties and lifted me into his arms. This was a wolf thing. He wanted to show everyone I was his no matter what and I was okay with it because every time we had sex it was fireworks. He knew what buttons to press to make me come undone. I fell on the bed panting. "Looks like we were picking up some plan B before we head that way." I joked. He pulled his pants up and tightened his belt. Before he handed me my underwear to slip on and just one cue the door opened up. Ryn went straight for Jack of course. Huge daddy's girl because she can get away with anything with him. He lifted her in his arms. "Alright, let's go get Karina and we can go." We walked out to the SUV and started our journey to Kangston. I was on my computer which is almost 8 years old and it was giving me issues. "Babe, just get a new computer. That thing is horrible. All the numbers are gone." I hit the side of it still trying to get it to work. "Do you know how much it takes to transfer everything? I don't want to do that." He chuckled to himself. "I can do it for you, just back up your data, and when you're done just throw it out the window." I hit him on his arm because once again he was trying to be funny. I shut the computer and put it in the back. I look back to see that Ryn and Karina were both asleep. I know It probably wasn't a good idea to bring them but they go everywhere with me but they are my kids. Even though Ryn would probably survive without me as long as Jack was there. He really was an amazing dad to both of them and I couldn't have asked for a better person. We were about a few hours from the pack and I took this time to really think things clearly. I was going to confront him, help with his pack, and then go home as fast I can. A part of me will hold onto Vincent and I don't know if it'll be hard for me to see him or to see him with his new mate. I really outdid myself with her but he deserved the best even if I couldn't have him. "Are you nervous?" Jack's voice pulled me out of my trance. Nervous was an understatement. "Is it bad that I am scared to know he is doing good?" one thing about Jack and I are together we could talk about anything. We were so open that it made things good with each other. It's always been like that and it made us healthy but of course, we had our fights it was normal. He filled the void that was missing. "He's still your mate it's not wrong because if things were different you'd be the one making him happy." I gave him a small smile before I just realized what he said. "Did you just say he was happy?"

With that, his grip tightened on the grip and he refrained from eye contact with me. "You lied to me you have been talking to him haven't you?" he grabbed onto my hand before kissing it. "I didn't want to upset you but he's my brother babe. He's fine. He is with his mate but it's been a year since I last heard from him anyway. So you have nothing to worry about okay. He doesn't even have to know our secret either because it's us and our family. He will meet his niece and that's it." I let out a sigh of relief and enclosed my fingers with his. It hurt to know it's not me but he's happy and he deserves it no matter how much I wanted to jump him. Things all work out for the best whether it's alone or not. The rest of the ride we just talked and dealt with Ryn's attitude. She woke up from her nap mad and now taking it out on us. 'I want daddy to sit next to me." she demanded with her arms folded. "He's driving. So sit your ass down because I spank you." she gave me a mean look before she looked away. "Your daughter is going to be the death of me," I told him which caused him to chuckle. My anxiety arises when we make the last turn that would take us straight there. "Does he know about Ryn?" he went to the park and he looked at me nervously. "No, he doesn't. But he's about too now." When we arrived there he was waiting for us. I got out and for the first time, I was face to face with him. He grew out more and he had a beard that was hot. We both looked at each other and all over again the pain struck us. Jack came around and hugged his brother as it's been a long time. Karina came around too to greet the Alpha. I opened the back door and unbuckled Ryn from the car seat and picked her up in my arms as she was fast asleep. It took everything in me to turn around because his eyes were burning the back of my head. "Your apartment is unfortunately not there anymore and we have a full house. We have rooms in the packhouse for all 3 of you." I finally took the initiative to turn around. His eyes went to my daughter and once again pain set in his eyes. "There are actually 4 of us. Vin this is my daughter Ryn. Your niece." He kept eyes on her and they directed back to me. "I need to lay her down. But we can talk afterward." I told him but he still didn't say or do anything. I laid Ryn down in the room next to ours with Karina. They both were knocked out as it was late at night and they didn't even take a nap. I walked down to the kitchen to find a group of people there. The feeling came to me as the female has come of age to find her mate. I closed my eyes and focused. My eyes turned white as they glowed as I paired her with another male in the room. And it took one look for them to find each other as she walked over to him and it was beautiful. A smile spread across my face knowing they will be just okay. They were okay. "That was amazing to witness." Vincent sparked my attention. And now it was a moment I knew where we needed to talk. He let out a half-smile before using his head to show me what direction to go. I wasn't ready but here it was.
