Wow! How long has it been? I suck at updating lol. Enjoy this horrible chapter. I kind of forgot how to connect with this story and write in first person point of view. Dang...

Happy early Christmas!

------------------------------------------------------------------

I looked at my phone and saw that it was six o'clock, right on the dot. I pulled open the doors of Barnes and Noble and was greeted with a blast of cold air. I walked inside and began looking for Uriel, peering down aisle upon aisle. However he was nowhere to be seen.

Had he stood me up? I wondered.

I continued to look for him. I checked the time and saw that it was ten minutes past six. He had stood me up. Growing irritated I stopped looking and turned back around.

He actually stood me up! I couldn't believe the audacity of that boy. First he pretended not to know me after he practically kissed me, and now he stood me up in a god forsaken bookstore.

I clutched my hands into fists. I took a sharp turn around the corner and being too distracted, with stabbing Uriel in my mind repeatedly, I had walked right into someone.

Losing my balance I could already tell that I was bound to fall right on my butt. However I felt two warm hands grab hold of me and keep me steady.

"Thank you," I said looking up at the person who had saved me from embarrassment.

"You really should pay attention to where you're going," an amused voice said. I stared up into big blue eyes.

"Uriel,"

"I thought you ditched me for a moment there," he continued to talk his hands still around my waist.

His words seemed to dawn on me and my senses finally kicked in. I tore myself from his embrace and crossed my arms glaring at him.

"Excuse me, but I was the one that was searching this entire god damn store for you," I told him through clenched teeth. He winced. My temper flared. How dare he presume that I ditched him.

"You shouldn't damn our heavenly father and you seem to have a temper too," he added. "Also you must not have looked good enough if you didn't see me standing in plain view. "

My fists began to tighten on their own accord. The audacity!

"I don't believe in God," I told him

He chuckled and his eyes shined with a knowing look.

"Sure you don't," he shot back.

"You don't know me. "

"I never said I did. "

I honestly was on the verge of ripping his head off. Did he come all this way just to irritate the crap out of me? I held back an eye roll and bit my tongue to hold myself.

"Can we just talk about what we were supposed to talk about already?" I asked through gritted teeth.

He chuckled.

"Of course," he said and led the way out the building and next door to a Starbucks.

He looked back to see if I followed him. This time I didn't stop myself from openly eye rolling. He smiled at that and shook his head to himself. It was then that I stuck my tongue at him like a child.

"You're cute," he stated and tilted his head sideways as he gazed at me with an almost loving look.

I shifted on my feet uncomfortably. Why was he looking at me like that? I fidgeted with my fingers and looked away finding the wallpaper to be a very interesting shade of brown.
