I woke up my head throbbing with a familiar pain. I blinked my eyes several times as I focused on the ceiling of my new room, which was alight with the sun’s rays and warmth. I slowly sat up feeling slightly nauseated and irritated. I yanked my blankets off and sat atop my bed in my grey pajamas.
I heard a soft knock on my bedroom door which echoed loudly in my skull, making my headache even worse. I groaned in discomfort. Without saying a word my door burst open and in came Cheri with a glass of water and aspirin in her hand. She gave me a smile when she saw me and made her ways towards me.
“Here take this, it’ll make the headache go away,” she said as she handed me the aspirin and glass of water, and took a seat on the side of my bed.
I gratefully swallowed the pill and drank the entire glass of water in one gulp. Slowly after a few minutes the headache and nauseated feeling began to melt away. I let out a small sigh of relief.
“You better go get dressed, we’re leaving soon.” Cheri told me.
“This early?” I complained, surprised at my tone. I usually never complained or whined about anything.
“Shay, it’s already noon.” She replied smirking, a smile in her eyes.
My eyes opened wide in surprise.
“Really?”
She nodded her head enthusiastically.
“Don’t worry you won’t get in trouble. I told my mom that I forced you to drink last night. However I’m still grounded. Oh, and we’re leaving in half an hour so I suggest you get dressed like now.” Cheri replied, she then stood up, “That reminds me…” She hurriedly left my room and came back a few moments later with clothes in her hands. “Throw this on.”
I caught the clothes she threw at me and looked at it with surprise. It was a pink jacket, black spaghetti strap top, and tight skinny jeans. To be honest I liked the outfit, I just didn’t like the color. What was it with pink? With a groan I got off my bed and headed towards the bathroom, the cold floor sending shivers through my body.
After I was dressed and brushed my teeth and of course did my hair, I walked out of the bathroom to find Cheri and Kara sitting on my bed. Kara’s eyes widened when she saw me and Cheri smiled triumphantly. She also held pink high heels in her right hand.
“Put these on and you’re set,” Cheri cried happily, standing up and handing me the shoes.
I hurriedly put them on feeling uncomfortable that my two cousins were staring at me.
“Still don’t understand how you’re so pretty.” Kara finally said as I stood awkwardly. Usually I wasn’t self-conscious but they were making me feel that way.
“Oh, yeah you sure are going to stir up our school tomorrow.” Cheri said happily. She then took out her phone from her back pocket, “S--, we got to go. Mom’s probably wondering where we are.”
I nodded my head and the three of us headed out of my room.

“I honestly do not need these many clothes Aunt Katharine,” I said as my Aunt began putting outfits up to me seeing if I would match with it.
We already shopped at ten different stores and filled up the car with shopping bags, and yet we were still shopping. Being raised by a man and surrounded by only Lucifer and my father in a way made me immune to the fever of shopping, I honestly didn’t care for it much. I would rather be shopping for car parts than shopping for clothes.
