Chapter 9

Lily POV~
I was stuck in the house a week after that.  I was with Dally and Johnny alone at the house now since schools were back opened.  I learned how to play cards with Johnny and Dally eventually.  They and the whole gang wanted me to get fresh air but I never wanted to risk getting caught by the police.  Finally, it was friday and Pony and Two-Bit just got home.

"Hey Pony!" I said getting up after a card game.

"Hey Lily." He kissed my cheek.

"Ugh, finally it's friday."

"Yeah.  Finally." He laughed. "Hey I was going to go out to the movie theatre to watch-"

"I don't wanna." I say.

"Not even Gone With The Wind? The movie is finally out!"

"I know and I really wanna watch it! But I can't!"

He sighed. "Fine, I'll stay home for you."

I frown. "No, you can go."

"But I don't wanna go if you can't"

I hug him. "Sorry."

"Don't worry about it" He said giving me a kiss.

-Two hours later-
"Heyy!" Soda said walking inside with Darry and Steve. "Lily did you-"

"No."

Darry sighed. "You haven't been outside once this week.  ONCE! Just go outside for a quick minute"

"But-"

"Lily."

I sigh. "Alright fine." I walk out the door.  It was nice getting some fresh air.

"Excuse me, are you Lily Hart?" A police officer asks me.  No oh no oh no oh no I knew it was a bad idea.

"No? I'm not Lily Hart I'm-Hannah... Stewarts." I lie.

"It is her!" The police said looking at a picture of me.

"It's ok.  We're here to take you home." He said showing me plane tickets.

"This is my home." I point to the house.

"That dump is not your house."

"It's not a dump!" I cry.  I hurry up the stairs and go inside but the cops come behind me.

I hold onto Pony.

"Whoa whoa whoa ok! I won't let you go I promise." He tells me holding onto me with a tight grip.

"LET HER GO!" The police yelled.  The other police pulled out a taser and a gun which made the other boys back away.

"Pony it's ok, let me go." I said with tears in my eyes.

"But Lily-"

"This isn't a break up.  I'll see you soon I promise."

"You promise?" He cried.

"Yes."

He nodded. "I love you."

"I love you too."

And then I let the cops take me away.

-6 hours later-
"LILY OH MY GOSH!" My mom yelled as I walked inside my house.

"Your daughter is home and safe" The cop said.

"Yes thank you!" She said.  But when the cop left she slapped me across the face and wiped her fake tears. "THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR A MONTH"

"IT WAS THE BEST MONTH OF MY LIFE!" I yell back. "AND I GOT A BOYFRIEND!"

"YOU WHAT?!"

"Do I need to repeat myself?" I ask. "I.got.a.boyfriend!"

She pushed me to the floor. "I forbid you to have a boyfriend young lady!"

"And I forbid you to hit me and here we are!" I yell back. "Know what screw you I'm going to see Lydia or Selena."

"No you're not! You're grounded."

"No." I said.

"Excuse me? What did you say?"

"I said no.  Now let me leave." I pull out a switchblade Two-Bit gave me.  Of course I wasn't gonna use it.  But she got scared and backed away from the door.

I ran to Selena's place because it was closer.

"Hello?" Selena asked opening the door.  Then she froze. "Lily?"

"I'm not choosing one.  I want my best friend and my boyfriend.  The cops pulled me away from him and I don't know when I can see him again.  I'm sorry Selena if that bothers you."

She pulled me into a hug. "Oh Lily you don't need to apologize! I was being a bitch and made you choose.  Please forgive me!"

"Of course I forgive you!"

"So why are you here at.. 11pm?"

"My mom hit me."

"Oh.. I get it.  Come inside."

It was nice to see Selena in person.  I told her how Tulsa was and how I want to see Pony again.

"OH! The school is getting you whatever you want because they want to repay you for leaving you behind."

"Anything?"

"ANYTHING!"

I thought for a while. "I know what I want."
