Chapter 10

-Another TW for abuse I guess, we mention it in this chapter but nothing happens-

A:N Before I start this chapter I just wanna thank everyone for the support on this story I've been working hard on it and I'm planning on making another fanfic about Ponyboy cuz I really like him and it makes me happy writing these! So thank you for all the lauv 😻

Ponyboy POV~

I had the saddest weekend ever.  I miss Lily so much.  The rest of the boys did too.  She was like the little sister everyone wanted.  But she was the girl who made me feel happy.  She was so funny, and cute, and nice.  I just wanna see her again.

"Hey," Soda said sitting next to me. "She'll be back."

"But when? When Soda when? What if she forgets about me one day and moves on! What if she forgets we're still dating? What if she finds another boy? What if-"

"Enough with the what if's!" Soda interrupted my mental breakdown.

Ugh.  Haters gon' hate 🙄✋ (A:N - I'm sorry)

"Lily loves you.  She made a promise.  You're a bad boyfriend if you don't trust her-"

"I do trust her."

"Then act like it."

I thought about our conversation.  I feel like I'm not trusting her.  I will trust her.  I am trusting her.  I'll wait a thousand years for her to come back.  I'll wait as long as it takes.

"I'm going to bed." I said.

"Yeah me too."

Lily POV~
When I went back to school, it was like I was a celebrity.  Everyone was talking to me and giving me all the attention.  And now I have to tell them how I am and what I want them to repay me with? This is all too much just in one day.  Sooner or later I was already in the front of the gym with all eyes on me.

"Um.." I said into the mic. "Hello."

Everyone answered with hi and hello.

"I did not change one bit.  I don't feel uncomfortable with getting asked any questions so.. can you guys ask me questions? I don't know what to say and what you wanna hear."

A girl I know named Kim raised they're hand and stood up. "There's a rumour going around.  Do you have a boyfriend now?"

Oh boy. "Um yes.  His name is Ponyboy Curtis."

She smirked. "Alright."

My teacher Miss Carol stood. "What do you want the school to repay you with."

"Well, the first part is quite personal I'd rather not say anything in front of the school but the second part would be another plane ticket to Tulsa."

They all gasped.

Some dude named Roderick stood up. "Why?"

"Well, to see Ponyboy and all my other friend.  Plus, my mental health was better in Tulsa.  I wasn't stressed, scared or sad.  I was happy.  I want to feel that happiness again."

Someone else I didn't know asked. "Is this because of your boyfriend?"

"It's more then my boyfriend.  It's about my personal life and how my parents act towards me." I said in a charp voice.

She sat down without another word.  No one else asked anything else so everyone left to go back to class.

"Lily may I speak with you in the hallway?" My teacher Miss Carol asks me.

I nod and go out to the hallway with her.

"What did you say you want?" She asks.

I explain that I want my parents to go to jail for child abuse and legally move in with my boyfriend.

She sighed. "I understand.  We will do whatever we can do to help you.  But we might need his family involved in this as well.  You'd probably need to discuss it with a lawyer or something.  Do you have a lawyer?"

"Selena's mom is a lawyer.  She could help out."

She nodded. "Alright.  We'll contact her mom and give her the details.  But first we need to report to the police about your parents."

"Thank you."

"Of course."

She brought me to the principals office which is where we met up with the police.  We told him all that's been happening with me and my parents and he said that there's gonna be a court meeting soon.   Luckily I had Selena's mom to help out with that.

-After court (bc I'm lazy lolz)-
Court was well.  Sort of.  We have good news and bad news.

Good news- My parents were put in jail for 10 years!!

Bad news- I can't move in with Soda, Darry and Pony.  2 reasons, actually.

1- It's up to the judges in Tulsa.

2- They need to adopt me.  Meaning I'd be like.. and adoptive sister dating my 'brother'.  Which is weird.

Great.  Now what?
