Part 3 - The Mission

"there is this coffee shop that is believed to have ghouls hiding in it" I was shocked when he asked me, a lower rank, to do such an important mission. "why me?" I asked out of pure curiosity "because you have a way with ghouls" I gasped a his sentence "w- what do you mean?" I asked while stuttering on my words
"when we hunted a powerful ghoul you took it down with ease. Besides we don't know for sure if ghouls are hidden there so you don't have to worry too much." "ok, I'll do it" "thank you for accepting this mission Agent L/N" "of course it's my job after all" I said while walking out.

I really didn't want to accept the job but I really didn't have a choice, he probably would've fired me if I didn't agree with him. Anteiku... I think I've heard about this place before

Later that day I decided to visit this "coffee shop" it was rather small but big enough for a good amount of people to visit. I walked in and a little bell rang above my head. "Welcome to Anteiku." a voice said from behind the counter. "thank you" I said while walking towards a chair.

"what would you like today, miss?" he was polite but something felt weird about this place. "I'll take a coffee please" I didn't really want a meal or anything I just needed to investigate. "here you go, one cup of coffee" he said with a smile "thank you" I said while taking a sip.

My eyes whidened "wow, thus us amazing!" I said without thinking "glad you like it the boy said while walking back to the counter to dry some cups" hey umm? "" kaneki "" kaneki, could I maybe ask you sine questions? "

" sure " he replied "have you maybe seen some... Like weird things in your area" "like what?" he asked hesitant. "I don't know, like people going missing?" as I said that a person came walking through the front door. "kaneki!" she yelled. "I need your help, Yoshimura fell off the belcony and I think he's hurt!"

Damn it! I was so close. He looked suspicious though, I think I'll come back tommorow. I hope the "Yoshimura" person is real and not some sort of distraction.
