A/N: This is my first fanfic so don't expect it to be a masterpiece xD I'm also terrible at spelling and punctuation so I'll try correct it as much as I can but If you see a uncorrected mistake please tell me.
(!!! PLEASE READ THIS BIT vvv !!!)
in this story survivors injuries get healed automatically if they escape through the exit gate/ dungeon or if placed on a rocket chair but if the Hunter hits them twice and lets them "bleed to death" there injuries aren't healed and they get sent back to the manor with them.
Anyways I hope you enjoy >\\\<

Aesop's POV:
Holding my case in one hand I gripped the letter tightly in the other. I made my way through the large gates and up the path.
"I shouldn't be here." I thought to myself. "What was I doing, I took this letter of a lady's corpse for gods sake."
Despite my worries, my curiosity got the best of me and I continued up the path.
The air had gotten colder and I felt like I'd been walking for hours. Looking behind me, it seemed the path went on forever. I turned around slowly and noticed a abandoned manor.
"I really shouldn't be here." I mumbled under my breath.
However I was too cold to walk forever back down and I wanted to figure out what the letter was for, so I pulled myself together and knocked on the door.
"Hello..." I whispered "I..is anyone in there? I have a letter which told me to come here..."
I was about to turn around and go home but it was almost as if the door understood the word letter and it slowly creaked open. Not thinking about how stupid I was, I stepped into the manor and pulled the door shut behind me so that the cold wouldn't come in. My first thought was to try and find the person who sent the letter too the woman. walking over to a door on the right of me I Struggled at the handle but soon realised it was locked. I sighed and made my way to the door on the left this time.
"Please don't be locked." I mumbled to myself, twisting the door handle.
Click! It opened. I smiled under my mask and slowly pushed the door open. There was a long table in the center of the room, a kitchen at the end of it and 4 doors on different walls. I was so mesmerised by decoration of the room that I almost didn't realise the 3 people sat at the table staring at me.
"Uh um hello..." said a kind looking lady "Who are you?"
I was then snapped out of my daydream and brought back to reality. flinching at her words, I looked down, I wasn't good with conversations or people in general really.
"My name is Emily Dyre. Are you a new survivor?" Asked Emily as she stood up and walked towards me.
Her words confused me. Survivor? What did she mean survivor...?
as she came closer I stumbled backwards.
"Emily! Stay back! He could be with the hunters we don't know where he is from, who he is or why he's here!" A man called out.
"Oh do calm down Freddy I can't even see him and I already know your scaring him! the poor thing is obviously just as lost and as confused as we were when we arrived." A different lady called out as she moved towards Emily tapping a stick on the floor as she came. It didn't take much for me to realise she was blind because of what she said and because of her glasses and stick.
"My name is Helena." She smiled. "It's okay to be scared we where all like you once but if you don't mind what is your name?"
Finally plucking up the courage I spoke. "A...Aesop Carl."
"Do sit down Aesop I'm sure you have lots of questions to ask." Helena said calmly as she got Emily to take Freddy out the room.

Time skip brought to you by Emily's kindness :)
(Helena has explained the game to Aesop and about the hunters and the other survivors and he has told her how he got there)

"Seeing as your new you won't be in a match straight away so I'll show you to your room so you can make yourself at home before you meet the rest of us."  Helena smiled as she took me out the dining room "some of the survivors can be a lot to handle."
I smiled under my mask and thanked Helena as she let me settle down in my room. It was on the second floor furthest away from everyone else's rooms, that helped with my anxiety because it meant I didn't have to be near anyone.
I placed my case on top of some drawers and hid the letter in the bottom drawer of the bed side table. Helena was the only one who knew that the letter wasn't actually addressed to me and she told that if anyone asked I should just say that it was addressed to me and to not actually show them the real letter. It wasn't a huge deal of concern but she thought the other survivors might freak out if they knew I wasn't actually meant to be there in the first place.
I laid down on my bed and went over the things Helena had taught me in my head.
1. The game begins everyday from 7am till 10pm
2. There are two types of games 4v1 and 8v2
3. The aim is to decode and escape
4. Hunters and Survivors are enemies and can't communicate out side of games
5. Everyone has certain skills to use in the game
6. Most people joined the game to receive a reward of some sort.
I went over the last rule again in my head.
"A reward huh." I thought "Helena said anything counts as a reward. I wonder if..." I shook my head  "don't be stupid Aesop that is impossible."
After a short amount of time Helena came back upstairs to get me for food.
Everyone seemed wary of me at the table but after a while they calmed down because of Emily and Helena's trust in me. There where about 12 survivors in the manor and they all seemed to get along pretty well, besides a few people who ,I have been told, had previous arguments that they held a grudge for. I decided to contribute to the buzz of conversation over the table so  I didn't feel like I was a complete outcast.
"S..so guys what rewards do you want to get when you get out of here?" I asked softly
Emily shot Helena a stern glance and whispered something to her that I couldn't hear.
"Oh.. uh you see Aesop.." Emily began looking down "there's no way out."

A/N: sorry this chapter was a little boring it's just there to explain how Aesop got to the manor and how he trusts Helena over the other survivors. Don't worry in the next chapter he meets a certain photographer ;)
