Lottie's P.O.V
Since the fight between me and Jamie we hadn't really talked... or stayed in the same room as each other for very long. But, I guess it was kind of worth it. Ellie and I talked a lot more and we did a lot of things together. It turns out that she really liked playing the electric guitar and the drums. She also told me that she liked girls and I told her that it was okay that she didn't tell me. Today during lunch I noticed that Ellie wasn't paying attention. She kept glancing behind me and frowning.
"What are you looking at?" I turned around to see Jamie sitting with Haru.
They were talking and Haru suddenly started laughing. Jamie was smiling at him and Ellie growled.
"What are we going to do about him?" Ellie asked.
"Who Haru or Jamie?" I joked as Ellie smiled.
"But seriously, what if Haru hurt Jamie or got him to join Leviathan. Plus, if we tell Jamie he's going to be so mad at us and devastated to lose his only friend." Ellie wouldn't look me in the eye and she started to play with her salad.
"We'll figure it out. Meanwhile we can ask Alia, she's a partizan too and she'll know what to do to get rid of Haru." I said.
. . .
During our free period Alia, Ellie, and I were sitting in the library. Ellie was doing her science homework, I was doing my english homework, and Alia was painting her nails.
"Hi Jamie." Alia said without looking. I turned around to see Jamie.
"How did you know it was me?" Jamie asked.
"I have my ways." Alia replied. "Sit, I have a feeling something interesting is going to happen."
Jamie sat across from me and next to Ellie.
"So... are you going to apologize, Lottie?" Alia asked.
"Why should I apologize?" I asked.
"Because you're too good of a person."
"You're right, I am a good person." I turned to Jamie, "I'm sorry."
"I see Alia has rubbed off on you. But, I'm the one who should be apologizing. So, I'm sorry." He said genuinely.
I was about to say something when I looked past Jamie to see 2 boys walking with the student council president.
"Umm guys I think we have a problem." I said.
Jamie, Alia, and Ellie turned to look at them at the same time. The 2 boys were extremely good looking. Both of them were tall with perfectly chiseled facial features. One of them had neat light brown hair and brown eyes. The other had super light blond hair and blue eyes.
"Those are... my old friends." I said.
"Ok, you know it seems like you're forgetting 2 realllyyy crucial parts." Alia smiled.
"What do you mean?" Ellie asked.
"Yeah, what 2 things could she be missing?" Jamie asked.
Alia sat back, putting her feet up on the table. "You know like the parts: ex and boy. When you put them together you get..." She paused for drama. "Ex-boyfriends!"
I bit my lip as Jamie and Ellie turned to me in surprise.
"Wait you've dated people before?" Jamie asked.
"Yeah... but it was just those 2 and I only dated each of them for a week." I explained.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Ellie asked looking hurt.
"When did you want me to tell you? Just randomly, I've dated 2 boys before."
"So you told Alia but you didn't tell us?" Jamie retorted.
"No, Alia figured it out by herself and how is it my fault if you never asked about my life before you? The only thing you know about my life before Rosewood was that I live with my aunt, my mom is dead, and Ollie is my friend." I said.
They both started to look a little guilty so I took a breath.
"It doesn't matter, we just need to get them out of the school and make sure they don't see me." I said giving them a gentle smile.
I looked to Alia who seemed to be enjoying our fight while sipping her pineapple smoothie.
"Don't worry, I got this. I'll get them out of the school by the end of the day." She said putting her feet down and getting up.
She walked over to the 2 boys and turned them around so that they weren't facing us. She gestured to a table on the other side of the library. Then took her phone out of her pocket. My ringtone started ringing, and I put my phone on speaker.
"Really Lottie, I wish I could say that you could worse, but you really can't." She said.
I looked at Jamie and Ellie who were smiling.
"Hey it's not my fault. They were 2 most popular boys at my school and my friends were getting bored so they paired us up. I kissed each of them once and broke up with them 2 days later." I replied.
"This is gonna be a long day." Alia said.
She put her phone away and went towards the boys and I looked towards Ellie and Jamie who were still smiling at me.
