Lottie's P.O.V.
I had a great time with Alia this morning. She's really nice but, I still couldn't figure out where I knew her from. I dropped my books off at my desk where Ellie had already messed up her side of the room. Ellie was laying on her bed playing music on her headphones.
"Hey, where were you? Ellie asked looking up.
"I was just with a friend," I answered while unpacking.
There was something weird about Alia. She was a breath of fresh air compared to being around Jamie and holding my breath the whole time hoping I didn't say something stupid. Or being around Ellie and barely talking about anything in particular. I wondered hard about where I knew her from. Maybe she was in Maradova once or she visited Rosewood, maybe I saw a picture of her online or she was in Cornwall.
I opened the door to see Jamie about to knock and that's when I realized it.
"Ummmmm," I said.
"He-he-hey, I need to talk to Ellie about something." He stuttered and moved past me to Ellie.
"You look like..." I started.
"What?" He turned around and asked confused.
"Nothing, I gotta go... umm talk to a friend. Bye..." I hurried out the door and went to Alia's room.
How could she be related to Jamie? Maybe she's just Pakistani too and I'm just overthinking this. I went to Liliana's secret bunker and sat down on the soft carpet. I laid down, all of these mysteries must have gotten to my head. I wish for once everything would be clear and I would finally understand. Jamie, feelings, Liliana's past, my past, Leviathan, why couldn't they all just be normal. I wish I understood maybe then it wouldn't be so weird between me and Jamie and Leviathan would be defeated. Everything would come to a happily ever after.
