Todoroki's p.o.v.

Will this really be okay?

My sister and Mina somehow talked me into visiting Bakugou today. Christmas day. And knowing him, people coming over uninvited may get on his nerves.

I clutched the steering wheel. Let's hope he's having a good day.

I remember where he lives after the last time I went. I know where to go. Honestly, I can't tell if I'm more excited or nervous. I got him a present too, so this can all go right or wrong.

I really like Bakugou, but it's not like I know what it is like to like a person. I don't know if it's just because I find him attractive or what, but whatever it is- it must be worth it.

I drive into the visitor section of the parking garage. I park and step out, grabbing the green, white poke-a-dotted bag along the way. I walk toward the elevator across the garage and a bead of sweat falls from my forehead. 'Am I coming down with a fever?!'

I push the button for the elevator, and I feel like many people are watching me. But there's no one in here. Finally the elevator opens, and I walk in. I push the button for the 5th floor of the apartment building.

I make it to his door, and slump over.

'Maybe I can leave the gift and go-' just then the door open to reveal a sleepy looking Bakugou. He was wearing flanneled pj pants, a tight black tank top, and a robe over top, with bunny slippers too. I stare in awe, only to see him staring back.

"W-what the hell are you doing here?" He says, frowning a little. He takes the rope and covers his chest with it, like he's exposed.

"Uh, Merry Christmas...?" I say, holding the gift up to his face. He looks down at what's in my hands, and his face lightens up. Only to have a scowl replaced once again.

"Stupid, dumbass." He says, and takes the bag. He turns and puts it by the door inside. He turns back towards me and closes the door lightly. "Uh, I was about to go get my mail till you fucking came." He pushes passed me and walks down the hallway.

I follow him absentmindedly. "Oh, sorry." I say.

"Whatever. Don't bring me gifts and shit ever again- I can't give you something in return if I don't fucking know." He says, mumbling the last part.

"Uh okay" We make it to the elevator and he steps in first followed by me. "Do you spend Christmas with anybody?" I ask him, as he pushes the button for the lobby floor.

"No, not else that somebody asked me to." He sighs and leans back on the wall. "If not, it's just me." He says looking over at me. I stared at him for a very long time. I know that it is really early, but I think I like sleepy Bakugou too much to have come at a later time. "What?" He says, blushing a little and turning the other way.

"Nothing." I say, and the doors slide open. I try to walk out first this time but Bakugou pushes pass me. "Jeez" I say, staying close to Bakugou. He just does this 'tch' noise and keeps walking.

We make it to the room with the mail and room numbers. If I remembered correctly his apartment number was 507. I spot it before him, "here it is." I say, he comes up beside me and our shoulders touch. He looks up at my face, with a glare. "Sorry?" He laughs a little.

"Dumbass" he takes out his keys and opens the small door. Only to see a couple of bill notes. He sighs heavily. He takes them out and tucks them under his arm. He then close the door and turns around.

Because of the small space in the tiny hall his chin hits my chest. "What the hell, manbun." He says, rubbing his chin.

"Manbun? That's new." I say as we walk out. I then feel my hair. "Oh." I say, once again hearing Katsuki's small laughs.

~

"Thank you." I say, as Katsuki hands me a cup of tea. He grunts and sits down besides me on the couch. I turn to face him a little. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in a while." I say monotonedly, trying to strike up conversation.

"Good enough. I don't see why you felt the need to see me again." He says slowly. He looks out the window next to him and takes a s i p of his tea. I look at him a bit sadly.

"Did I read the signs wrong? After all the times we've texted, it seem like you'd be up to seeing me again." I look down at my lap. "At least one of us took a chance." I say under my breath.

"What was that Icy-hot?" He turns back around to look at me. "I don't know what you mean." He says with a scowl.

"Stop acting dumb, Bakugou." I say a little upset. I understand that I'm not the easiest person to read, but I would at least expect some of my actions to be clear. "Do you think I asked for your number on a whim? Or kissed your cheek that day, even when I didn't know you well- not like that's changed, don't you think I have a reason for doing all that?"

Bakugou stared back speechless. I think I raised my voice a little, but I'm too upset to care at the moment. I could tell he was a little taken back so I decided to apologize. "I'm sorry, Bak-" he cut me off.

"No I'm sorry-" he starts to laugh. "I'm sorry I feel so fucking stupid." He sets his tea down on the coffee table. I turn to look at him directly and see he has his head in his hands. "Listen I u-understand. I've just been pushing that thought to the side to be fucking honest with you." He says looking over.

"Bakugou...." I look at him slightly confused. "So you've been leading me on...?" I say, not completely finishing the thought.

"No no no, why would I do that." He says, turning his body up straight to face me, one leg in front of him and the other hanging off the couch. "It would be like I'm doing it for my own amusement, and I don't find shit like that amusing at all." He looks disgusted at the thought.

"Then what was it? I mean you must know how I feel by now right." I look down to his hand that's on the couch.

He shakes his head. "I'm just...... scared, I guess. Scared of not being enough or needing to be changed. I don't want that again, I don't want what happened in my last relationship." He looks down once again. "I guess that idea alone clouded all my other thoughts of ever moving forward and meeting someone new." He looks up. "Like you, Todoroki."
