Chapter 18

Johnny's pov.

I get to the premiere with Lauren and Hayden and I'm waiting for Kenzie to get here.

"Waiting for me, huh?" A cocky voice calls. I turn to be faced with a familiar brown eyed girl. Her brunette hair is pulled back and nicely curled down.

"Maybe. I don't know. Have you seen another beautiful brunette in a red dress?" I respond. I begin to examine her outfit head to foot.

Shes wearing simple makeup with the same Jenzie necklace draped around her neck. I smile at this and see she did in fact choose the red lace dress. It tends to stretch down to the ground and hug her curves perfectly.

Woah.

"I-uh-uhm..." I stutter out and she smiles at me. "I got you this- Lauren said you'd like it." I say, holding out the corsage Lauren convinced me to get her and she giggles at me.

"Why thank you kind sir." She says. I hold out my hand and Kenzie places hers in mine, allowing me to slip the corsage on her wrist. With this, we start to head in and she grips my arm tightly when she sees all the people.

"Its okay, princess, I'm here and I've got you." I whisper. She scoffs, letting out a small laugh at the nickname before nodding slightly. At her assurance I walk towards the carpet to walk in.

"Oh my gosh!"

"Its Johnny Orlando and his girlfriend Mackenzie!"

I laugh a little, shaking my head as Kenz does the same.

"Well dont they look real snazzy tonight!"

"Does her necklace say Jenzie!?"

"The dress is gorgeous!"

"Johnny I love the way your hair is styled tonight!"

"Mackenzie you look gorgeous!"

"Can I ask a few questions?!" Someone shouts and I nod, pulling Kenz with me towards the camera woman.

"Mackenzie, I have to ask, what's with the necklace?" The woman asks and Kenzie starts to stutter a bit. I give her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Yes, well, Johnny got them for us to celebrate the release of What if." She answers, slightly confidently. "Oh and you can call me Kenzie."

"That is too cute!" The reporter gushes. "So how did you guys begin to work together for the song?"

"Well, my agent called me saying he had a good duet partner for me." I answer. "When I looked her up and heard her vocals, I just had to say yes."

"My agent had called me also. I was skeptical because I knew he was really good. Also the fact I was just M and nobody knew who I was." Kenzie answers. "But in the end we worked it out and look where we are now."

"Johnny, do you have a matching necklace with Kenzie's?" The interviewer asks again. My only response to this is to reach in my top and pull out the necklace into sight. I give a signature smile and the woman smiles in awe.

"Well, we really should get going. In the end we are here to support my sister and best friend but we might see you later!" I finish, stopping her from asking another question.
