Chapter 4

|Kenzie's pov|

     "I wake up to my phone ringing really loudly. I groan and sit up, seeing Maisy and Brynn next to me asleep. I look at the contact. My phone read; "Incoming Call from "Julie👊"
|Accept✔|" "Hey Julie, what's up?" I ask walking into the kitchen.

     "Hey girly! How are you?" She asks and I giggle. "I'm good. Thanks." I say, pulling milk out of the fridge. "Sooo how would you feel about doing a duet with someone??" She asks. My eyes widen. "Julie-" I say but she cuts me off.

     "Listen, he doesn't even have to see your face or know your name. All he knows is it's "M" it's perfectly fine." She says to me. "Who is he??" I ask, curiously. "Well I'll tell you but..." she trailed off and I see a boy with black hair, cut like Lil Huddy's in just boxers walk out of Lexi's room.

     "AHH JESUS FUCK DUDE!!" I yell, covering my eyes, and turning back to the fridge. "Shit. Sorry!" He yells and runs back into Lexi's room. "Okay, sorry, what were you saying, Julie??" I ask, still facing the fridge. "What was that?!" She asks, concerned. "Some naked guy walked out of Lexi's room." I answer, rolling my eyes.

     She laughs, causing me to laugh. "So what were you saying??" "Will you give him a chance?? Just talk to him. I'll get y'all in contact." She pleads with me. "Fine. But you're getting me fro yo" I say.

     Julie's my manager who's helped me with a few originals and she's only like 5 years older than me. She treats me as just a great friend. And so do I. She's one of my only friends besides Lexi and Brynn. "Deal." She laughs. "Sooo who is it?" I ask her.

     "Johnny Orlando" She answers. "Fuck no." I say. "I'm not working with him." "Why not? I thought you liked his music." She asks confused. "Johnny's music's fine. Buttttttt" I say. "I ran into him at Starbucks the other day. He knocked me over and spilled his coffee all over me so I bought him a new coffee. And he bought me a new shirt."

     All I got in return was laughter. I frowned slightly, before laughing. "It's not funny!!" I yell in defense. "I'm sorry, that's too good, Kenz! she says in between laughter. "Julieeee!" I whine. "Sorryyyyyy" she mimicks me.

     "Hey, what's up?" A voice asks entering the kitchen. I turn to see Maisy. "Alright bye mom. Love you, I gotta go. Talk to you later." I say quickly and hang up on Julie. Probably leaving her confused. "Uhhh hey Maisy." I greet her. "Hey, who was on the phone?" She asks.

     "Uhhh just my mom." I say. "Your mom's name is Julie??" She asks. "Uhhh my moms name is Melissa" I say confused. "But you were talking to someone named Julie." Maisy says. "Uhhh Julie's my er- sister??" I say more as a question than a statement. "Don't lie to me please." She says.

     "Fine it's my friend Julie." I say.
"Okay. So why did you lie about your friend?" She asks. Uhh I don't know." I say. "Okay anyways, were you talking about Johnny Orlando??" She asks. "Oh uh- how much of that did you hear??" I ask, scared she found out.

     "Uhh not a lot. I heard "Johnny's music is fine." And then I heard something about someone spilling coffee. What was that??" Maisy responds. "Uhh I ran into somebody at Starbucks. Like literally ran into them and they spilled coffee all over my shirt but I bought the guy a new coffee so the bitch bought me a new shirt." I explain.

     "Oh my goddddd" Maisy says. "Who's your mystery man??" "Uhhh-" "Whatcha talking about?" Brynn asks walking in. Lexi walks in before I can answer. "I see you had fun last night." I say to Lexi. "Shut up." She says. Soon enough the kid from before walks out of the room, exiting the apartment.

     "I'm not gonna ask." Maisy says. "Soooo do you know who he is orr??" She asks, turning back to me. "That guy?? No idea. But his haircut reminds me of Lil Huddy." I say, causing them to laugh. "Noooo coffee boy." Maisy says.

     "Oooooh you talking about Jo-" Lexi says and I throw an apple at her, square in the forehead. "Ow!!!" "Wait you know who it is??" Maisy asks, curiously. Then my phone vibrates."Julie👊: download this app *random link*" I do as she says and download the app to see an incoming message. "Unknown: hey" "Unknown: are you 'M'?" "Unknown: it's Johnny" "Unknown: hello???"

(M🤔 has changed Unknown to 'Angel Voice🤷‍♀️😏)

Angel Voice🤷‍♀️😏: you there??

     I smile and put my phone down. "Hello????" Maisy asks. "Sorry Uhhh I'm not sure. I think his name was like, Jimmy or something??" I say trying to cover up that it's Johnny.
"Oh okay. Did you get his number?" She asks. "Yea- no." I say. Lexi and Brynn look at me questioningly.
