|Kenzie's pov|
"Kenzieeeeee get off your phone!!!" I hear Brynn yelling. I sigh, putting my phone down on the bed and burying into my blankets. "Kenz come on." She says, pulling me off the bed, and I just fall back in. "Unbelievable" she mutters. "Get up. Come on. You knew Lexi was having people over. So it's time to get up."
"They're Lex's friends. You and her are my only friends, so I don't get why I have to get up and hang with them." I complain. "Because you can't lay in bed obsessing over Wyatt Oleff all day" Brynn yells at me, stealing the blanket. "But I wannaaaaa" I whine. "I was gonna binge It chapters 1 and 2 tonight. Maybe even the mini series"
"Hmmmmm." She says, looking like she's thinking. "I'll make you a deal. Come out of your room and socialize for an hour and then I'll come in and watch it with you." "Deal." I say, and I shake her hand, getting up, and walking out to join the people.
"Hey Brynn." A blonde haired kid makes his way over to us. "Who's this??" I ask and Brynn looks at me for a second, sighing. "This is Carson." She says, then gives me a 'dont do it' look. "THE Carson Lueders?! Pleasure to meet the lovely guy I've been hearing so much about from Brynn." I say, obnoxiously. "Soooo when are you gonna finally ask her out?" I smirk.
I notice them both go red before Brynn speaks up. "Carson, give us one second." She says nicely, pulling me away. Then her tone changes "Why the hell did you do that?! I thought the 'don't do it' look was clear enough!" She yells at me. "What're friends for?" I grin and walk over to where I see Lexi with a girl I recognize as Maisy and a guy, I think his name is Mandla.
"Hey guys." I say. "Well, look who rolled out of bed." Lexi teases. "Kenzie, this is Mandla, and Maisy, M&M, this is Kenzie." "Nice to meet you, Kenzie." Mandla says. "Nice name" Maisy says and Mandla smacks her on the shoulder. "Its actually Mackenzie but I go by Kenzie." I explain and they nod. "Sooo how long til I get to go watch it??"
"Wait ur gonna watch it??" Maisy asks, staring at me. "Uhh yeah, but Brynn told me I had to socialize for an hour first." I answer, confused. "Wait technically you can socialize and watch it at the same time if I join youuuu" Maisy smirks and I smile, walking her back to my room.
Maisy and I talked for a while and soon we turned on the movie. Part way during the 2nd movie I felt myself drift to sleep.
|Johnny's pov|
I was really bored so I pulled out my phone and scrolled through youtube to find a video to watch. I found one by someone called "M" It was a cover of don't start now by Dua Lipa. It was a black screen but it sounded really good. Her voice was incredible. I couldn't help but wonder who she was. There was no face and no social media linked. I just shrugged when I got a call from my manager.
"Hey, Ned what's up?" I ask. "Hey Johnny O!" His cheery voice greets. "So, listen. We're in contact with someone else's manager; Julie. And we were thinking you guys could do a duet." "What do you mean do a duet?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Like write a song." Ned answers. "So anyways, we were thinking your voices would go great together." "Wait wait wait. With who?" I ask. "She goes by the name M." He says. "Oh I actually just heard a cover of hers. Shes good." I say. "Well, what do you think??" He asks.
"Sounds fun, actually." I respond, smiling. "Great, can you come into the studio tomorrow at 11?" He asks, and I nod to myself. "Yeah, I'll be there. Bye Ned" I say, getting ready to hang up. "Bye kiddo. See ya tomorrow." He says and I hang up.
