|Kenzie's pov|

     After a while, Lexi finally agreed to stay home with Brynn, Maisy, and Mandla. I'm in my car on my way to the studio and I get nervous. What if I get in there and I dont sound good?? Just breathe its okay.

|Johnny's pov|

     I'm sitting in the studio next to Lauren and Hayden, waiting for Kenzie so we can go over the track and record. "Chillll" Hayden says. "You're never this nervous before recording. You good??" "I dont know." I say. I start to nervously fidget with the 'jenzie' necklace.

     "You're just nervous to see-" Lauren starts and then the door bursts open. I see Kenzie appear. "KENZIE!!!" She shouts excitedly, jumping up to hug the brunette. "Lolo! It's soo great to see you in person. Wow you look amazing. Is it hot in here-" Kenzie starts rambling and Lauren cuts her off.

     "You're going to do great. Dont even worry." She says and Kenzie nods. "Okay. Yeah. I'm gonna be fine. By the way, I'm sorry I'm late there was a little bit of traffic on the way." She explains.

     "Nobody cares. You're only like 5 minutes late." I say, and get up from the couch, wrapping her into a hug. "And you're going to do amazing. Just breathe. I've heard you sing and its it's amazing. You got this." I whisper and she nods against my chest and whispers a 'thank you' back.

     Once we pull away she goes over to hug Hayden quickly. "Where are Julie and Ned??" She asks. "In the other room. They will be in in a minute." Hayden says and she nods.

     "Alrighty then, are you guys ready??" Julie asks, excitedly, after she greets Kenzie. "Ready as I'll ever be." Kenzie mutters to me and I chuckle. We head into the booth, ready to record. "And you guys can start once the music starts playing." Ned says, and a second later, I hear the familiar tune start to play. I take a deep breath and start to sing.

     "Let's talk about all those things that we shouldn't talk about. Those kind of words that would change all the things we talk about." I start singing. I look over at Kenzie and she smiles at me, which I return.

     "Tell me do you ever think of us? Should I ask some more or should I stop? What if a tomorrow means that we are here together? What if we are taking chances just to lose it all?" I continue singing and start nodding along with the music.

     "Am I really crazy thinking about this all together? Or have I been missing the writing on the wall?" I sing. "What if I sayyy" "I know, you know, what if I told you I like you?" Kenzie joins in and we both sing. "We stay, we go, what if I told you I like you?"

After the song

     I look up to see 6 smiling faces in awe once we finish. 2 that were not there before. "That was great guys!" Julie says. "It was amazing! Your voices go together well." Ned says. "We'll be back in a second." He says and him and Julie walk out.

     Kenzie quickly runs out and I follow her. "KENZIEBOO!!!" The shorter girl with brown hair and brown eyes shouts excitedly, hugging Kenzie. "JULIANNIKAN!!!" Kenzie responds, excitedly, hugging the girl back.

     "You must be Maddie." I say, greeting the other girl. "I'm Johnny."
"I know." She says. "How'd you know?" "You look like an older version of that one except with blonder hair and different colored eyes." I say, pointing towards Kenzie and she laughs.

     "Kenz..." Maddie says, looking at her sister. "I'm so proud of you!" She hugs her sister. "Mads, I cant believe you're here!" She exclaims. "Oh! Mads, Jules, this is Johnny, Lauren, and Hayden. John, Lolo, Hay, this is my sister Maddie and best friend Jules from home." She introduces us. "What are you two doing here??"

     "Well, we came to surprise you, but when we got to your house, Lexi, Brynn, Maisy, and I think his name was Mandla. Well, anyways, they told us you were here." Jules explains. "We couldnt miss the chance to see our future superstar in action!" Maddie shouts excitedly, and Kenzie shakes her head, chuckling, I can see happy tears in her eyes. I smile to myself, wrapping an arm around her.

     "Woah woah woah." Jules says. "Is this a thing now???" She questions, pointing between the two of us. "Kenzie! Didnt your mother ever teach you to tell your best friend when you start dating a hot, Canadian singer?!"

     This comment causes her to blush red and Lauren, Hayden, Maddie, and I burst into laughter. "We're not dating-" Kenzie says. "Oh well in that case, I'm Jules." She responds, holding out her hand. "I'm flattered but you're not exactly my type." I respond, chuckling, shaking her hand anyways. She huffs jokingly and Kenzie speaks up.

     "But I thought your type was brunettes with Brown eyes and stunning features." She says. "Are we seeing the same person?!" "Well I have my eye on someone else....." I say.

"Wait who???? Why don't I know?" She asks me. Girl if only you knew. "Is it Nadia??" She asks and makes an almost sad expression.

     Lauren bursts into laughter and I fake gag. Then Lauren jabs me in the side with her elbow. "Ow!" I shout, rubbing my side. "No. Its not Nads. She likes Ai-" I start and Lauren elbows me in the side again, cutting me off. "A different guy." "Uhhh what?" Kenzie asks confused before she chuckles. "Ok...."
