Chapter Forty-Seven

"Kacey your too stiff! This is underwear not winter wear! You look cold, feel confident in yourself and body." The photographer yelled. She nodded and started loosening up. The girl was beautiful but all sorts of ugly inside. It was always about her and nothing to it. She had everything worked out. Once she had her groom, it was all over. But of course they didn't know that. There was something she was new to. The feeling of jealousy and the thought of someone actually being able to take Ross away from her. That was Laura. She was a threat. She's gonna do whatever she can to make sure that doesn't happen. If it does, then let's just say only one would come on top.

"Mommy? Are you okay?" She asked her. "Yeah. I'm fine." She covered up. "Mom. Tell me what's wrong." She said sitting next to her. She smiled at the curious girl. "There are some things in life that may be hurtful and others that may be joyful." She told her. She tilted her head. "Is this some hidden message behind those words?" She asked. Katie always knew better. Her mom could tell her something through figurative language and the girl would understand what she meant. "I'm gonna go clean up. I'm here for you. We'll take care of each other". She winked. She smiled and ruffled her hair. "Your the best." She pecked her cheek. She smiled and walked away.

"So what do we do?" He asked her. "So what? We get married after your tour ends?" She asked. "Look Kace. I don't want to do that but I want you to be happy." He said. "Huh?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him. "What are you rambling about? Of couse we'll be happy together." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. She played with the hairs on his neck and stadled him. "Why don't we take a break from the wedding plans and have little fun tonight?" She winked. "As fun as that sounds, I have plans with my daughter. I have to try on my suit designed and made by Laura." He smiled pulling her off him. "Didn't you do that last night?" She asked. "No. We designed them and took measurements." He said putting on his shoes. "But this weekend." He winked and left. She smiled. Rydel made a gagging face. "You better be in a hotel." She said. She scoffled. "Your disgusting." She said and walked away.

"So how many times a day?" He asked. She laughed. "Just two." She chuckled. "Well I wanna say thanks for filling in for me." She said. "Its not filling in. I wanted to spend time with our angel." He said putting on the jacket. She smiled and helped him get into it. They stared at one another as she wrapped his tie. He smiled as the distance between them. "Laura I want you to know that the more I spend time with you, the more I feel like I can't stop thinking about you." He said.  She blushed. "Thanks. I feel the same way."She said. He smiled and leaned down. She fixed his collar. It was like she was setting her husband out for work. Once she was done, she backed up a bit. "How do I look?" He asked. "Handsome." She said. He smiled. "Would I match you?" He asked. She shook her head. He chuckled. He stepped towards her. He slowly wrapped his arms around her waist. "You should come." He whispered as he calmed himself. "I'm fine. But thanks." She said resting their heads together. He slowly leaned in towards her. She knew this couldn't happen so she slowly let go. He gave her a confused look. "What's wrong?" He asked. "You have a fiance. You should go kiss her and tell her how much you love her so freaking much!" She yelled at him. He was confused. She looked down. "You should go. Its time for bed." She said. Strike Two. "Alright." He said and walked out the room. "I love you." She said faintly.
