Jo's POV:
67 days. It's been 67 days now that Hero and I have been cooped up in my one bedroom apartment here in LA.After we wrapped the second movie last year, Hero returned home to London to pick up a few jobs with fashion brands and I made my way to California for an audition like we had planned on.
While I didn't get the role I had tried out for, something told me I needed to think about making LA my second home. Well... someone that is. My sister had been living out here for a short while and found that it was easier to be in the states instead of traveling constantly for work and had mentioned that I should think about doing the same.
I fortunately was able to find an available apartment not long after I had made the decision to stay and I could tell how surprised Hero was at my news when I first told him.
About three weeks after we had went our separate ways leaving Atlanta, he flew out to see me just like he had promised. We spent an entire weekend together and it was like we had never been apart. The constant face time calls and texts from day to day helped with that until we could finally be with each other physically again.
Hero and I had continued to keep our relationship private from the outside world but rumors about us being together never stopped. Him and I would occasionally look online and see what fans were saying, laughing at how in depth their perception of us together was. Hero wanted to tell everyone. Hell, he would have probably shouted it from the rooftop of my apartment if I let him, but he knew how much my privacy meant to me and didn't want to do anything to make me uncomfortable. And for that, I loved him. Maybe more than I already did.
Before the second movie came out, the world was placed on hold. Quite literally. The pandemic swept across the countries and changed day to day life for everyone.
Hero had been visiting me over a weekend when we got word that travel was going to stop immediately. No flights anywhere. His manager had a field day when she found out he was in LA despite him not telling her the actual reason he had come here and instead making up an excuse and couldn't come home to start a new project he had been preparing for, but I knew he was over the moon about it. He would have me all to himself as would I.
I'm not saying a worldwide pandemic was a great thing; it just made it so that we could slow down for a bit. Take time after working such busy schedules to really relax and enjoy being together as a couple.
That was 67 days ago. Our movie had been released and the feed back was amazing. With such strict regulations on travel and public outings, we were not doing a promo tour which did suck on one end because Hero and I both enjoyed seeing everyone again and visiting new places but instead we did interviews online in the comfort of my apartment. Our apartment it had become although we did make it seem like we were in two separate places which I think we pulled off pretty well.
I had longed for us to be together without any distractions. Just Hero and I. Together.
