A/N - Sorry in advance for the short chapter :)

I get up to the flat knowing that if we're ever going to save Ella we have to do it together.

"What do you think she meant when she said four of a kind." I asked with my head in my hands.

"I don't know yet. Did you go through all the evidence?" Sherlock asks

"Uh, no I read all the documents but haven't gone through all the belongings."

"I guess we'll start there." John says as reaches for an item.

We search for a few minutes but nothing turns up. Everything appears to be normal. Our next plan of action is to gather as much evidence as we can to determine exactly where and how they died.

"We'd like to ask you a few questions about the victims." I said to Lestrade as Sherlock, John and I sat in front of him at the police station.

"Alright. Although I don't have much information." He answered

"Where did they die?" John asked

"Uh I think Jorge died on the train, Flora died laying in bed, and April died on a park bench."

"Mhmm" I hear Sherlock hum

There's no correlation.

"Did you question the witnesses?" I question

"Yeah a few when we found Jorge. They did say they heard a loud noise coming from his earphones before he dropped." Lestrade said

"Okay well thank you for your time. We'll best be on our way now." I say as I stand up to leave, Sherlock and John following my lead.

"I'll take the items to the lab to run some tests to see I can find anything unusual about them." Sherlock says surprising sympathetically.

"Right. I'll tag along." I say as we get into a cab to head to the lab

-At the lab-

I'm standing across the room with John who is comforting me, I'm panicking and I know the boys can tell. Sherlock is busy at work. I have my head buried in my hands trying not to have a full blown panic attack.

5 hours

"John. What if we don't save her?" I ask close to tears.

"We will. I promise, Sherlock has got it under control. He'll find something wrong through these samples and she'll be saved."

"I haven't found anything..." Sherlock says blankly.

"What..?" I say about to hyperventilate. "What. No. There has to be something. C'mon there has to be something wrong." I sob as John tries to calm me down.

"Hey, Hey this isn't it maybe we missed something." John says reassuringly

"Doubt it." Sherlock chimes as John shoots him an angry look.

Sherlocks words make me break out crying even harder.

"Or maybe we did miss something?" Sherlock says, trying to correct his last answer.

'We did, we must have. Whoever is playing this stupid ass game wouln't lead us into a dead end. Right! I mean you're Sherlock Holmes come on you have to figure this out!" I say starting to get angry.

Sherlock's face twists a bit at my angry tone.

"Here we'll check the phones again." John says rushing over to pick them up.

He goes over them once more and finds nothing unusual. He slowly looks up at me and I immediately know he didn't find anything. Instead of crying I straightened up and walked out of the lab, defeated and head back to the flat and face the fact I might never see my best friend again.
