Zayn cracked his eyes open slowly, when he heard the blaring of the alarm clock on his phone. It was 6:30AM in Los Angeles, California.

Zayn runs his hands over his face and sits up in his bed, slowly stretching his limbs. He stares at his calendar and is reminded of what day it is.

No matter how long Zayn has dealt with the routine he has, he dreads getting out of bed every morning. But soon after complaining to himself about how early it is, he smiles at the sound of his daughters giggling through the baby monitor.

Quickly dressing for the day, Zayn goes into his daughters room. He looks at the letters that spell out the name 'Alana' in green and opens her door.

Alana was 3. She has black hair like Zayn, and blue eyes like her mom. She was the most beautiful girl Zayn had ever seen, and thought everyday about how lucky he was to have her.

Alana turned her head when she hears her door open, and sat up quickly in her 'big girl bed', once she saw who was at the door.

Immediately after seeing her father, Alana clapped her hands with a big smile and started calling out to Zayn, "Dada, Dada."

Zayn smiled wide and walked quickly over to his daughter just as Alana stood up and jumped into Zayn's arms, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and setting her head on his shoulder.

Zayn never broke his smile as he hugged Alana back, one hand on her back and his arms under her legs, supporting the small girl that was in his muscular arms. "Good morning, beautiful." Zayn whispered.

Alana lifted her head from Zayn's shoulder and rested her small hands on his chest. "Morning, Dada." She giggled at him, smiling wide. Zayn of course smiled back.

Zayn turned to walk out of her room and into his bathroom, setting her down on the counter by the sink. He handed Alana her toothbrush before getting his own. He opened the cap on the children's toothpaste and gave it to Alana.

Zayn put his own toothpaste on his toothbrush and watched Alana carefully. When she had successfully gotten the toothpaste on, Alana looked up at Zayn and smiled wide, "Did it?" She asked him hopefully.

Zayn laughed and nodded, "Yes, love. You did it." He said to her and she giggled before turning her body to look at herself in the mirror and start to brush her teeth.

Zayn brushed his teeth and then the two continued with their usual morning routine; brushing their hair, washing their face, did their business (separately of course.), got dressed, and then went downstairs to make breakfast.

Alana helped make pancakes by pouring in the dry ingredients, adding chocolate chips to the batter. When they sat down to eat, Alana struggled with cutting the pancakes.

Zayn looked at her a smiled fondly, "Would you like some help, Alana?" He asked playfully and she, stubbornly, shook her head no. Zayn shook his head still smiling and drank his coffee, waiting for her to ask for help because he knew she would.

After about a minute Alana gave up and looked over at Zayn. "Dada?" She asked.

Zayn looked at her and smiled, "Yes?" He asked her, though he already knew what she needed.

Alana looked at her plate, then to Zayn and asked, "Help?" Zayn set his coffee down, rested his elbows on the table, and folded his hands on top of the table.

"Help..." he trailed off.

Alana understood what he was getting at and said, "Help please." And smiled sweetly at her father, for good measure.

Zayn smiles back at her and playfully said, "Actually I was looking for a, 'please, I love you' but that will work too." He scooted her plate toward him and cut her pancake into small bites.

Alana giggled at him and Zayn chuckles at her excitement. They both continued to eat. Once they had finished and cleaned up, Zayn saw that he still had 20 minutes before he had to leave and drop Alana off at the babysitter.

So he picked Alana up and carried her over to the couch, where he sat her down next to him and put her cartoons on while doing his own thing, keeping a close eye on Alana.

Zayn looks over the papers he had gotten a couple of weeks ago. They contained information on how the team functions together, house rules and jobs, rankings and scores, and the members of his new station.

"The 118." Zayn read aloud, "hm." He said, interested. He started reading over the station members and their necessary provided information.

Once he finished reading, he set the papers in his duffle bag and slipped on a sweatshirt, then brought Alana's sweatshirt over to her and put it on her, zipping it up and ruffling her hair after. She giggled and pushed his hand away.

Zayn got her book bag around and notified the babysitter they were on their way. He walked over to Alana, slipping her shoes on and shutting the T.V. off.

Alana got the hint and stood up on the couch, stretching her arms out to Zayn, who shook his head playfully at her and picks her up in his arms. He carefully slings his duffle bag over his shoulders and carried Alana's book bag in the hand that wasn't holding her on his hip.

Alana rested her head on Zayn's shoulder as he walked them to the car. After Zayn and Alana hugged out their goodbyes at the babysitters, Zayn got in his car and started driving off to the station.

"New friends. Hm." Zayn said to himself, thinking out loud and sighing, "Yay."
