As Alana is picked up out of the car, she yawns and brings her little fists to her eyes and rubs them before she lay her head down on Harry's shoulder.
"What's wrong, Lana?" Harry asks her, faking a pout and he tries his best to look at the small girl laying on his chest.
"Tired." She says simply, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath and letting go, relaxing all of her tiny muscles against the green eyed man holding her.
Harry smiled and stifles a laugh. "Got it." He says, before his attention is caught by the sound of a door closing and keys clanking. He looks up and meets the golden eyes of Zayn.
For a moment, they just stare. But eventually they break smiles to each other. Soft smiles. Ones that have some sort of meaning behind them, they just don't know what.
"Do you want me to take her?" Zayn asks softly, still smiling.
Harry looks down carefully at Alana before facing Zayn again. "Not really, but if you want her back then you can take her."
Zayn laughs at Harry's much too complex answer and shakes his head as he walks to the front door and holds it open for Harry to walk through with Alana.
"Thank you." Harry whispers to him as he walks past. Zayn just smiles in response.
"We should probably get her to bed." Zayn says as he shrugs of his jacket and slips his shoes off.
'We. He said 'we' should.' Harry blushes as his thoughts don't leave him alone. He quickly and carefully kicks off his shoes and follows after Zayn to the bottom of the stairs.
Once Harry, with Alana, and Zayn get up the stairs and to the doorway of the little girls room, Zayn turns around and looks at Harry.
"I can put her to bed." He says and extends his arms. He was thankful that Harry seemed to care so much about Alana, but he was still protective over his baby. He always would be.
Zayn takes Alana from Harry's arms and carefully walks her over to her bed. As he goes to lay the small girl down, she tiredly speaks up. "No, Dadda." She wines softly.
"No?" He smiles down at her in question.
"Pretty." She says and yawns once more.
Zayn looks at Alana with the single most confused look he's ever had. "Huh?" He says to her.
Alana dramatically sighs and crawls into her big girl bed. "Want Harry." She says quietly.
Zayn takes a deep breath in and let's it out as he thinks of an answer. "Well...I don't think Harry wants to-" but is cut off by Alana's small voice.
"Please?" She shyly asks and looks up at Zayn with big blue eyes and long, dark lashes.
"Uh..." Zayn turns to Harry again, giving him a questioning look.
Harry looks from Alana to Zayn. "Are you ok with it?" He asks politely, not wanting to intrude anymore than he feels like he already has.
Zayn laughs softly and walks to Harry standing in the doorway. "Only if you want to." He smiles. He wouldn't make Harry do something he doesn't want.
"Ok." Harry smiles at Zayn before walking over to Alana, who giggled and picks up one of her hooks of the shelf next to her bed. "Stories?" Harry smiles.
Alana nods at him. "Stories." She hands him the book.
Harry smiles softly at Alana as he covers her up.
Zayn leans against the doorway of his daughters room, watching closely at how good Harry is with Alana. "Hey..." he softly grabs Harry's attention.
