Due to her surprise, the headmaster's kindness was not stopped from their first encounter in the headmaster's office. He facilitates her quarter with a pile of books that neatly lined up to her bookshelf, Hermione thought it would be enough for filling her days and kill boredom. Dippet also frequently went to her chamber to chat with her and ask if there anything she needed, but to her dismay in every report of his research, there's no progress more than the ideal theory of time travel.
September 1st, she is standing by the windows pane looking at the blue sky Hogwarts offers to her, she will start her seventh year now without Harry nor Ron by her side. Without her parents. Without nowhere to go and to call 'home'. Even Hermione couldn't reckon it'll get worse due to her sorting into Slytherin. There must be a reason behind it all.
Oh, the thought alone almost brought the tears down her cheek.Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she almost not seeing herself. The green tie hangs between the collars perfectly. The Slytherin badge in her robes. Even her name feels strange to her ears. Hermione Abremann. Who even the girl is.
'Come on Hermione. Still, Grifffindor aren't you?' She thought of herself. Meeting many people to make friends with. Of course, she will.
She left the window, even on the stage of how tempting it is to stand in the silent quarter with her quiet thought referring to the dungeon and at how she remembers it was that cold greenish place when she was in the second year.
Finally strolling around the room to check her belongings, she lifts her satchel to her shoulder and leaves the room. Down to the great hall, she heard rustling, chattering students envelopes the castle, how she missed this atmosphere.
She went to find her fellow house at the feast table, so many strangers. Not even a single face she could recognize, well not she was wrong about it, right? She was thrown back fifty years in the past with no one. Taking a deep breath she makes her feet work to her destination. After claiming a seat she sat quietly between Slytherin students that she thought they are in the senior year. She tried not to smile at them, remember how her frenemies would plaster their facade in front of her.
But then two people sat on her sides, both female students looking at her then slowly bloom the sweet smile to her.
"Hey! I've never seen you before. Are you a new student?" The girl on her right looking up at Hermione at too fond of the face too much for Slytherin."Well, how? I haven't heard rumors about you" this time the girl on her left saying.
"Yes I'm a new student, I'm—" before she could finish her sentence to both girls beside her the headmaster's voice ringing at the hall cutting her by mid-sentence.
"Welcome students of Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry School, this evening we got back to celebrate the new season of our study, I expected you to have a good condition at the beginning of the term.
And before we begin our tradition of sorting the new students of the first year into their house let me introduce our new friend 'Hermione Abremann' sorted into Slytherin of seventh year as a transferred student of Durmstrang due to the danger of Grindewald. I expect you to be nice and cooperative to Miss Abremann, now would you stand up for a bit Miss Abremann?" With that Hermione stood in the middle of the crowd smiling at the most genuine state of her mind. There's some fox whistling roaming in the air. Sure she is considered really beautiful back then in the '40s. Her curly waves, truly showed up her inner beauty, though her eyes were brown those are not just brown but they're whiskey brown that drowns you for looking too long at it.She sat after that. Her fellow house started to chatter at her and about her.
"So you're Hermione Abremann?" The girl on the left saying, she is tall and quite muscular for a girl with broad shoulders and her eyes are dark green.
