THE FOUR GHOSTS headed back to the Molina home and began to explore. Mainly Julie's room as they knew she would be home from school soon. Reggie had made himself rather comfortable on Julie's bed, Luke began snooping her shelves and Alex looked at some of her photos. Hayden was rummaging through the girls closet, they were about the same size so if they wanted, they technically could share clothes.

It wasn't long until Julie did arrive home and upon seeing her room crowded with ghosts, one missing from her view she huffed. "What are you guys doing here?"

All the boys began to try and make an excuse by Hayden came to the rescue by leaving the closet and standing beside Julie. "We were looking for the kitchen."

"This..." Julie said, not believing what Hayden had said and wondering why she was in her closet. "This can't happen. It's creepy. Off my bed please."

Reggie nodded and jumped off the girls bed as Luke put his hand up like he was talking to a teacher. "Hey Julie. What's in the box?"

"That's off limits." She replied.

"Oh, okay." Luke chuckled. "Girl stuff!"

Hayden jumped over Julie's bed in order to hit Luke, he tired to defend himself but ended up falling off the stool he used to reach Julie's box.

"Like butterflies and glitter?" Reggie asked.

Alex sighed. "Oh, come on. I'm sorry about them."

"It's none of your business." Julie huffed. "And yes, there might be some glitter."

Alex then suddenly cheered. "Hey! I actually picked something up!" He brought it to Julie's bed and then it slipped through his fingers. "I dropped it."

Hayden looked at the picture. "Is that your mom?"

"Yes and it's my favorite picture of us." She snatched it from their view. "So if you break it, I'll break you."

"Okay, well sorry, because we're kinda unbreakable at this point." Alex smirked.

Hayden nudged him. "Did you forget that I can still hit you guys?"

"No." The boys mumbled.

"I don't get it." Julie said, turning back to the ghosts. "You guys can mess up my bed, pick up your instruments, bu you can't pick up other stuff?"

Luke nodded. "I know right? It's hard. But for some reason, our instruments, easy."

"Yeah, like super easy." Reggie agreed. "Oh, and check what I learned today."

On the way home, the band realized that they could summon their instruments whenever they wanted. Reggie struggled the most with this concept but Hayden, Alex and Luke picked up on it quite quickly. As the guitar fell from the air and into Reggie's arms, he fell back into a bean bag due to the weight and groaned softly.

"Yeah, that looked super easy." Julie rolled her eyes.

"It's like I always thought, our instruments are attached to our souls." Luke smiled.

There was knock on the door and in came Ray. Reggie flipped himself over and joined his band while Alex and Luke grabbed each other hands at the suddenness of the situation. Hayden just looked at the door.

"Hey." Ray smiled. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah." Julie nodded. "I'm fine."

Alex and Luke then let go of each others hands in awkwardness.

"Okay. I thought I heard you talking to someone."

The girl shook her head. "Nope. Must've been my laptop...that I just closed."

"Okay. If you need anything..." He motioned to the door and when Julie nodded it, he closed it as he left.

"Your dad seems like the kind of guy who likes to barbecue." Reggie smiled. "I bet he has a great ribs recipe"

"I don't know." Julie sighed. "But if you guys wanna talk to me, we have to do it in the studio. He's worried about me enough as it is."

Luke simply shrugged. "He seems chill. You should just tell him about us."

Hayden hit Luke's arm as Julie stared at the ghost. "You're kidding, right?" She sighed. "This past year, everyone's been watching over me, being super nice, as if they're waiting for me to snap. If I tell my dad I met a ghost band, I'll be back to talking to Dr. Turner three days a week."

With a click of his tounge, Luke agreed. "Yeah, you probably shouldn't tell him. Julie..."

The girl turned to see Luke once again looking at her dream box, she glared at him. "Oh my gosh! I thought I told you to leave that alone!"

"I know. You just should've said nothing 'cause now I can't stop thinking about it, so...What's in the box, Julie?"

"It's just my dream box, okay?" She huffed. "Whenever I get a thought or something, I write it down and get it out of my mind. "

Hayden perked up at her words. "Like lyrics?"

Julie looked at the female ghost. "They would be if I still wrote music like I sued to with my mom. Now it's just full of stuff that doesn't make me sad."

"But, I mean, you do play." Alex spoke. "We heard you this morning."

"In the garage?" Hayden hit Alex's arm. "So you were there too?"

Once again the boys tried to make up an excuse and once again, Hayden saved their skins. She leaned across Julie's bed and looked up at her with puppy dog eyes. "So, where is your kitchen, by the way?"

Julie leaned down to make direct eye contact with the ghost. "Okay, we need to set some boundaries. For starters, stay out of my room!"

All four complied and began to leave Julie's room but Hayden stopped by the door and turned back to Julie. "Sorry, I don't mean to bother you but did you get back into your music program?"

"No. No, I didn't."

"I'm sorry." Hayden leaned on the wall and put her hands in her pockets. "That really sucks."

"Thanks." Julie looked down and suddenly Hayden got an idea.

She stood straight. "Actually, I have an amazing idea. Meet me in the kitchen in like, three hours. I gotta find something and visit someone. But you have to trust me on this."

Julie furrowed her brows but nodded. "Uh, okay."

Hayden winked at her and poofed away, when she opened her eyes she found herself right where she grew up. Her house. The girl looked at it, it hadn't changed much other than a church had been built right beside her house which gave her an uneasy feeling. She looked up at where her bedroom used to be, the fake flower that sat on her windowsill was still there.

She thought back to earlier on the beach.

Maybe her family had changed.

So for some reason this keeps going into mu drafts...I've published it at least 3 times now 😐
