Soulmates were a thing the children of Jinhae, South Korea were taught from young. Engraved in their minds sat the idea of them embracing their eternal lover in their arms. They never knew how to tell if they met their soulmate, but those scenarios were in the back of their heads during this day. Lee Jiyoo suppressed these thoughts as he doodled away in class. Today's lesson was learning English, but he was never the type to listen and his grades reflected that. He loved the idea of having a soulmate and spending all of his time with them, but he couldn't seem to find a connection between anyone at school. Jiyoo was the guy of every girl's dream but to him, they only seemed to want him for his looks. He worked out a lot to obtain a strong physique, and was blessed with hair the color of gold, mesmerizing emerald green eyes hidden behind glasses the same hue of his golden locks, freckles scattered across his nose and cheeks adorned his sun-kissed yet rosy skin, and a smile that could melt anyone's heart. In fact, all Jiyoo had to do was smile to get anything he wanted. Although he never used the tactic, many of the girls at school took his smile the wrong way. He recalls the memory of last Valentine's day when all the girls of two classes gave him grand and luxurious gifts of chocolates, flowers, stuffed bears, the works. He chuckled to himself silently thinking about it.

"Class, we have a new student joining us today," Mrs. Kwan stated.

Jiyoo looked up from his page of mindless doodles and turned his attention in her direction. While listening to her spout nonsense about being nice and whatnot, he saw a silhouette of a tall boy outside the classroom door. In his head, Jiyoo was trying to figure out what he thought he was going to look like when the door suddenly opened. A young boy with black strands of hair that seemed to perfectly frame his face walked in and stood next to the teacher. He glanced out at the class before bowing.

"Good morning class," his deep voice boomed, "my name is Kim Seojun, it's very nice to meet you all."

Jiyoo couldn't stop staring. Seojun looked to be around six feet tall and had a very broad chest and shoulders. His hazel eyes were a melt of autumn tones, fending off the winter frost and almost appeared to deeply stare into his soul. And his voice... His voice was so deep it made his heart and eardrums quiver.

"Why don't you have a seat in that empty chair next to Jiyoo?" his teacher asked and motioned towards him.

Seojun hesitated before looking up in the direction of Jiyoo. Jiyoo immediately covered his face and looked away when he made eye contact with him. He buried his head in his hands and sat in that position for about fifteen seconds before removing them. He was now looking down at the floor and was soon met with a pair of black sneakers. Jiyoo felt his face burn intensely as he looked up to meet Seojun's piercing hazel eyes. It felt as if time stopped for Jiyoo when they stared into each other's eyes.

"Mr. Kim, I asked you to have a seat please," Mrs. Kwan interrupted their little contest.

Seo-Jun blinked, turned towards her, and bowed a respectable ninety degrees.

"Mianhada*," he said blandly.

Seojun quickly took a seat next to Jiyoo and paid attention to Mrs. Kwan's lecture. He soon realized they were studying English and came to the conclusion that he didn't have to listen. His mom was American so this class was of no help to him.  Seojun was the loner type but he desperately wanted to make friends with everyone in his class. It may have seemed like Seojun was mean and cold, but in actuality he was a complete softie and loved being around people. In fact, at his last school he was a part of a pretty popular group. Seojun really missed his friends Hyunjin, Yeeun, Chris, and Mark, but he knew he would meet other people just like them. Seojun sighed as his thoughts came to a sudden halt. He felt a pair of eyes watching him intensely. He sharply turned to his right only to see two eyes the color of a luscious, rich, green field looking right at him. Jiyoo. It was Jiyoo staring at him.
