"Are you okay with birria tacos? I found a recipe online," Seojun scrolled through some text on his phone.
"Sounds good! Just read me the ingredients and I'll gather everything up so we can start, alright?"
Seojun nodded, "Okay... um, oil, beef chunks, crushed tomatoes, vinegar, garlic, cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, chipotle peppers, guajillo peppers-"
"Guajillo peppers? I don't think I have those..." Jiyoo admitted as he pulled down a jar of chipotle peppers and looked towards Seojun.
"That's okay! We can either forget them or we can run by the store and pick a couple up, I don't mind!"
Jiyoo looked at Seojun with a questionable look, as if to ask 'are you sure?'
The taller male nodded once more, "Isn't there like a shop around here somewhere? There might be one a couple of blocks away that sell those peppers."
Jiyoo proceeded to tell Seojun about a grocery store that wasn't too far from his apartment while removing his apron and walking out the door. Seojun did the same and followed the small blonde down the street. The two walked together shoulder to head while heading down the nearly empty streets of Jinhae. As they walked, they passed multiple food vendor carts. The smells from such invaded their nostrils, causing a certain tall male's stomach to growl.
"Jiyoo, can I stop and get some tteokbokki? It smells too good for me to pass up."
The short blonde nodded and Seojun made his way over the vendor. Jiyoo patiently waited while looking up and watching and counting the clouds. This in no way mattered, but Jiyoo was thinking if this was date material, it certainly seemed like it. It was just the two of them and so far they were having so much fun together. Jiyoo couldn't stop himself from smiling, his cheeks hurt. His thoughts distracted him as the taller male strolled back over to him.
"I'm back!" he said, muffled with the quick snack in his mouth.
"Oh- hi! Are you ready to keep going?"
Seojun nodded, "But do you want a piece of tteokbokki?"
Jiyoo nervously blushed and shook his hands, "No it's okay! I'm saving my appetite for the tacos!"
Seojun responded with a simple 'ah' and the two continued on their way to the small shop. A little while later and the two walked into the refreshing atmosphere of the shop. It smelled of mint and a tiny bit of cinnamon, Jiyoo noticed. Though he didn't say anything about it, he still appreciated it and continued on his way towards the pepper aisle with Seojun following closely behind.
"Seojun, what was the name of the peppers again?
"Guajillo."
Jiyoo looked upon the shelves and shelves of peppers but couldn't locate the ones they needed.
"Um- Seojun... they don't have them..."
Seojun sharply turned his head to meet Jiyoo's eyes, "What?! You're kidding, let me check."
Jiyoo carefully stepped off the shelf he was standing on (since he was too short and the peppers were all above him) and moved out of the way for Seojun to come through. Seojun looked through the bags of labeled peppers once, and then twice, and then a third time. Surely enough, the guajillo peppers were nowhere to be found.
"Well," Seojun started, "why don't we check another store?"
The smaller nodded in agreement before walking out of the store like he had just been defeated in battle. Seojun noticed and decided to tease him by resting his arm on the soft bed of golden blonde hair that sat atop Jiyoo's head.
