Chapter 18 - Second Feed

Leanna's POV

I woke up with a small groan, my eyes opening to the dark bedroom. I slowly sat up, being careful to not to disturb my mate as she was still asleep after what we both went through last night. I looked behind myself, seeing if she had woken up and luckily she didn't. She was a bit of a heavy sleeper...

I still had the amazing power of being a new vampire in my veins as I noticed that my body has gotten a lot stronger. If I could punch someone, their jaw would break. That was how strong I currently felt. I went to have a shower until my eyes suddenly caught my reflection in the mirror. I tilted my head to the side, completely captivated by it...

I walked towards the mirror, before I placed my hands on each side of it super gently. My eyes were a beautiful dark red, and my skin was pure white and rather shiny. Maybe that was because of the sweat. I watched my mate lift her head up from the grey pillow, before she sat up and got off the bed to walk towards me. "Have you been looking at the new you?" she asked me, her hand stroking some of my wild hair out of the way of my face. I opened my mouth, suddenly watching my fangs come out. I widened my eyes slightly in surprise, hearing Astrid giggle at me. 

"Hungry." a familiar word came out, before in the corner of my eye, my mate tilted her head to the side. Then, out of nowhere, I found myself pinning her against the wall next to the mirror and my fangs were buried deep inside of her neck. I let out a small growl as soon as I felt her wrists trying to slip away from my grip, causing me to immediately pull my fangs away and let her free. "Shit. What the fuck was that?" I asked her, feeling her blood swim on my tongue. "It was a powerful instinct, babe. You didn't hurt me..." she began to reply until I asked her, "If I didn't hurt you, then why were you pushing me away?" 

Her eyes widened a little from that question, "Oh. I wasn't doing that. I just didn't expect you to pin me against the wall like that. You were being rough and that isn't a nice thing." she answered me. She then took a few steps towards me, her body was then touching mine. My eyes roamed her body, taking a deep shaky breath. "Don't be scared of yourself, babe." she told me, trying to give me a confidence boost. I rested my hands on my mate's hips, before my lips touched hers. I kissed her softly at first, before I felt my mate's tongue go in my mouth, causing the kiss to go a bit faster...and much passionate.
