A/N: hi okay so as we know, it's our favorite white boy's birthday today, but it's also one of my absolute best friend's birthday (her url on tumblr is kiwismoon) , and i figured since i can't really buy and send her anything right now, i'd write a cute little fic for her!! that being said, this is still x reader because that is what is easiest for me (i literally wrote this in an hour last night haha i had to do the easy thing) anyway it's pretty short and it may suck, but she liked it so that's all that matters!!!!

Sharing a birthday with your boyfriend has always been fun. Normally, you'd have a shared party where you celebrated both of your birthdays with all of your friends and then you'd go home and have a relaxing night with just the two of you.

This year was a bit different, though. This would mark the first birthday that the two of you would celebrate together without your friends. With the state that the world is in, there's no way to safely have everyone near each other, so you both decided that you'd just do something fun together.

That's how you find yourself where you are now. You're lying in the sand beside Harry as you both look up at the vast expanse of the sky. Harry brought you out here to have a night picnic on the beach, but you had just ended up staring up at the sparkling stars and the bright moon.

"It's so beautiful." You breathe, taking in the view as Harry reaches his hand out and links his fingers with yours.

"You're beautiful." He whispers, bringing your hand up with his to his mouth and placing a light kiss to the back of it. You smile at the action, but the grin quickly turns to a frown as you feel him pull his hand away and shuffle towards the picnic basket.

Once he returns, you look over at him and see that he has a box in his hand. Before you can say anything, he rushes out, "I know you said we shouldn't get each other things, but I saw this the other day online and I couldn't help but order it, okay?"

A soft chuckle escapes you as you sit up and reach into the bag you brought with you and pull out your own gift, wrapped up all nice and pretty in lavender gift wrap and a sparkly bow. When you meet his gaze again, there's a smile spread across his face. His dimples are popping, and you have the sudden urge to close the distance between the two of you and press your lips to his, but you refrain. Clearing your throat, you look down at your gift for him. "Do you want yours first?"

He shakes his head, causing his curls to bounce just a bit. "No, I wanna give you yours."

You nod as he hands you the slender rectangular box. Harry shuffles over to sit beside you as you pull the top off of the box. As soon as you see the silver chain, your breath hitches. Once the top is fully off, you see the circular amethyst stone in the center of the necklace, and you turn to him with a smile on your face. "You didn't have to get me this, H."

He chuckles, shaking his head as he reaches for the necklace. "I know. I wanted to." He comes behind you, putting his arms over your head so that he can hold the necklace in front of you before circling it around your neck and clasping it.

When he comes to rest beside you again, you hand him your gift. "It's nothing too big, but I figured you'd like it." You explain as you watch him unwrap the gift.

He gently sets the discarded wrapping paper into the picnic basket so that it doesn't go flying in the slight wind, and then he takes a look at the book in his hands. The leather bound booklet has a picture of the two of you in a little pocket on the front, and as he flips it open and looks at everything inside, you hold your breath. You had spent months putting together a scrapbook of your relationship. It was a grueling process, but the hardest part was keeping it hidden from Harry for so long. He had almost found it a few times, but thankfully, you were always able to keep him from it.

After a few minutes of looking through the pages, he looks up at you. You swear you can see a light sheen of tears in his eyes, but you choose not to question it. "I love it. Thank you."

"I love you." You respond as you watch him carefully sit the scrapbook down and lean back against the sand. You follow suit, lying your head on his chest this time instead of the ground.

"I love you." He responds, never one to add the 'too' at the end.

Both of you are silent for a while as you just lie there and look up at the stars.

"The moon is really bright tonight." Harry hums, trailing his hand up and down your back.

Almost as bright as you, you think as you shift to look up at him. "Yeah, it's really pretty."
