"Come here and give me a hug!" His dad said, excited to finally see his son again.

Noah ran up to him and squeezed him so hard, it looked like his eyes were going to pop out of his head.

"I missed you so much." Noah said to his dad. It was strange to see Noah show so much affection for a man he claimed he never loved.

"I missed you too." He replied. "Now, we have to move."
"Why?" Noah and I asked simultaneously.

"That guy that was snooping around our house is out to get you Noah."

At that moment we all knew what was going to happen if we stayed any longer. We rushed out of my yard and into the neighbor's. We decided to stay in the grass. It would be easier for them to catch us if they could see us out in the open on the street.

"I can't run anymore." I said, trying to catch my breath.

"What is your name?" Noah's dad asked.

"Luella." I replied.

"Okay Luella, I left my car in the park, do you think you can make it that far?"

"I'll try my best." I said. Relief washed over me at the thought that we would be done running soon. Though it didn't happen how I expected.

The stranger from Noah's house walked out onto the road ahead of us. We were still in the grass and by the woods, but we were certain he knew exactly where we were. He just stood there, in the middle of the street.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are." He said. He had an accent, though I couldn't tell where he was from. He was probably faking it so we couldn't recognize his voice. He peered into the branches of the forest around him, pretending to look around for us.

"Ah, there you are. And you have friends! How lovely is that?" He said, obviously already knowing there were three of us.

We knew we were caught. We knew it wouldn't be like last time, where it turned out to be someone familiar. We knew this was it. This is where this whole adventure would end. With us being snatched away by this creepy guy in all black clothing.

"I'm not scary, I promise." He shouted as if reading my mind.

Oh, that makes me feel so much better. I thought, almost out loud.

"You can come out, I'm not going to hurt you." He said. I thought I heard him mutter Not that much. under his breath, but my mind decided I was hearing things. I looked over to Mr. Henderson, who seemed to know more about this situation. He had a look of hopelessness plastered on his face. I knew what he was thinking.

I stepped out into the street. To my surprise, Noah and his dad followed. They must have known this is what had to happen, but not wanted it to be true.

"I knew you would come around." The man in the road said.

"Charlie, you don't have to do this. Just let us go." Noah's dad said to him cautiously.

Charlie? I thought. That would make sense. Noah's dad knew we had to get away because he knew Charlie. This didn't make me feel any better either.

"Hand over the kid." Charlie said, his voice no longer using the faulty accent it had held before. He sounded more and more evil with each word.

"No." Said Noah's dad.

It seemed best for Noah and I to keep quiet, so that's what we did. All of a sudden, three men came up behind us and shoved all three of us to the ground.

"If you don't hand him over," He started, looking at the men behind us as if to give them a signal. "He'll get something way worse."

"If you take him, you'll have to take me too." I was surprised by my own words. I had not planned on saying that.

"Very well then." Charlie said, satisfied. "Take Mr. Henderson too." He instructed. The three men behind us obeyed and picked up Noah, Mr. Henderson, and me and hauled us all to a truck. I was guessing it was Mr. Henderson's, but Charlie and his men took it. They crammed us into the back, handcuffing each one of us on our way into the truck. It was a big van, but there were other things in the back that made it a tight squeeze. It was obviously not meant for humans to be back there while the vehicle was moving, yet we were.

I finally had a moment for the events of the night to sink in.

"Oh my gosh, we just got kidnapped." I said in a state of shock.

"Who is Charlie?" Noah asks his dad.

"He is the brains behind the organization that's trying to get you son." Mr. Henderson replied, clearly in disbelief.

"Why?" Noah asked, clearly looking more worried than I had ever seen him. "Wait, you can see too! I didnt even think of that! Oh my goodness! Hold on a second, how did you know I could see?" Noah said to his dad

"Umm..." Started Mr. Henderson. "I can't tell you yet."

Something about this didn't seem right. Noah and I kept trying to pry the truth out of him, but he wouldn't talk. I felt like we were interrogating him the whole drive. There were no windows in the back of the van, so I couldn't see where we were going.

I could tell Noah was concerned about our recent abduction by Charlie. He just stared off into space after realizing his dad wasn't going to tell us anything.

I checked my watch. It was just past 11:45. We had been driving for about half an hour before we arrived at what I figured was Charlie's venue. Where else could he take us?

The van stopped short and Charlie and his men got out. They came around to the back and opened the door. I thought about running, and I think Noah did too, but we both knew it wouldn't help. They would still come after us and we were too tired to move.

One man took Mr. Henderson out of the vehicle, and the other two took Noah and I. It seemed almost as though part of this was planned. I started to get extra suspicious of Mr. Henderson when Charlie ordered his men to haul us three into the building. It was almost like he had planned this. They seemed to be paying more attention and being more careful with Noah's dad. They were being really rough with us, I could almost feel my arm again after they had let us go to lead us inside.

Once we were indoors, something I could never have expected to happen, did.
