Charlie had his goons dump Noah and I on the floor.
"Oww." Noah said, scraping his elbow on the carpet.
The henchmen ignored us as they carefully led Mr. Henderson into the building. They took him to a soft, plush, chair and sat him down.
"Thank you Bart," Mr. Henderson said. "Jullian." He added nodding at the second guy who gracefully carried him in.
"Wait." Noah and I said at the same time.
"I'm really confused right now what is going on?" I said.
"Yeah. Wait, These guys all work for you, huh." Noah stated, sounding defeated and betrayed.
Sorrow washed over me as understanding flooded my thoughts. Noah's dad only came back for him because he needed him for something. Not in a good way either. The room we were brought into made me realize just how scared I should be of Mr. Henderson. There was a hallway to the right of the soft, cushy chair. There was only 1 window, and 1 door. The door we entered through. The walls were stone, and it looked like this building was made 200 years ago. It was small, but it was still spacious enough for us to all be in there relatively comfortably.
As comfortable as we can be after being kidnapped and thrown to the ground consisting of sharp rocks and hardened mud.
"I am indeed the leader here." Replied Mr. Henderson, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Why would you do this?!" I said, raising my voice. "And to your own son!!" I added, now yelling.
Mr. Henderson didn't seem bothered by my noise.
"Take them away." He calmly told Charlie, shooing his hand at us like we were flies.
"No!!" I screamed as Bart took me down the hall. The third man (Who I didn't know the name of) took Noah down after us. Jullian and Charlie stayed with Mr. Henderson as if to keep watch.
Bart and his friend shoved us into separate rooms. There was a glass panel in between the walls. Each of our rooms had a bed, and a toilet with a sink. It reminded me of a jail cell.
Noah came to his side of the glass and mouthed words to me. I'm pretty sure he said "what the heck was that" but I couldn't really tell. I wondered the same thing and mouthed back "I am so confused."
Just then, Bart came back to my "cell." I saw that the other man returned to Noah as well. They simultaneously handed us each a smoothie.
"If you want to live, it would be smart to drink this." Bart said to me. I figured The other guy said the same thing to Noah.
Bart glared at me as he walked back out into the hallway. I slowly brought the glass to my mouth, and saw Noah do the same. I was about to take a sip when I saw Bart smile at me through the tiny block of bars in the old wooden door. I hesitated, and slowly took the glass away from my mouth. The smoothie was this ugly green color, and it did not look appetizing at all. I realized that it probably wouldn't be such a good idea to drink it with these goons trying to pressure me into it. I put my glass down on the edge of the sink, not wanting to dump it out just yet in case it really was all I had. Before I could warn Noah, he swallowed the sip of smoothie he had taken. I ran to the glass to try and tell him that we shouldn't drink what they gave us yet, but I knew it was too late. Noah came over, upset that we were captured, but I think he enjoyed the taste of the smoothie. He came over and smiled at me. I didn' t smile back. A look of understanding crossed his face as he looked at the glass he held in his hand. And then he passed out.
"Noah!!!" I yelled desperately. Mr. Henderson's henchmen just walked away smirking, knowing that their plan was going to work now that one of us had taken a sip.
