I slowly fluttered open my eyes.

I didn't remember where I was or how I got there.

I didn't even know how long I've been there.

My vision seemed to be all out of sorts.

I realized I was laying flat on my back.

Though not on the ground.

I couldn't feel anything beneath me.

I started to panic.

I tried to quickly sit up.

I couldn't.

I felt as though I'd been glued to this empty abyss of white.

The space around and above me looked the same.

No trees.

No houses.

No grass.

No sky.

Just white.

It was neither light nor dark, giving me no sense of time.

Shadows didn't seem to exist.

I moved my head to my right.

I slowly reached out my hand.

The initial shock of being paralyzed wore off.

I felt a sense of calm, though I shouldn't have.

I touched the piece of torn notebook paper that was next to me.

I gripped it in my fingers and brought my arm back by my side.

Now I could lift my head.

Then I sat up.

I looked at the note in my hands.

You have been banned from existence.

I stared at the page with a blank expression.

I didn't understand what this meant.

All I knew is I felt more lonely than ever.

I crumpled up the paper and threw it across the neutral terrain.

It disappeared into what I believed to be thin air.

I brought my knees up to my face and hugged them.

My eyes watered and tears rolled down my face.

I could only think about all that I was missing out on.

My life seems to be over. I thought.

I look up from my spot on the white carpet of emptiness.

    I started to look around.

It was just a blank void of nothing.

I stood up and wiped the tears off my cheeks.

I turned around to glance at the place at which I threw the paper.

    Realizing, I walked towards it.

    Only I didn't really walk.

    Nor did I float.

It felt like walking on sand.

It felt like I was in water.

I was almost weightless, yet still held down.

My feet sank in a little with each step.
