I discovered a website called Spells Of Magic yesterday while looking for spells and whatnot for shapeshifters.

Long story short...geez.

So many people in the community don't believe in the ability to become a shapeshifter or even partially non-human. There are some users who routinely comment and say that the shapeshifting spells on the website are fake or "fluff".

In my personal opinion, if it works, it works. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. All in all, if your intentions are right, it's harmless.

For example, here's a transcript of a spell titled "Crocodile/Alligator Shifter", the one that originally led me to this site.

"Say this at night time 5 times then drink the water: 'Spirits of the moon, I wish to be a (crocodile/alligator) shifter that can transform just by thinking of myself as a crocodile or alligator. So please bless this water with the power to make me a crocodile or alligator shifter'."

Here's another spell for people trying to be nekos.

"A neko I wish, so shall I become,
(color) ears, (color) tail when I command they will come.
Fangs and claws, they begin to grow,
My bright (eye color) eyes, they will glow.
I ask of you god, to grant me this now,
To be a neko, half cat, meow meow!"

And below is a conversation. All names have been changed.

Anonymous Wolf: my voice is a high pitch now o.o

Anonymous Dolphin: You can't become half cat, half human, that is simply not possible. We cannot change species with magick it isn't how it works.

Anonymous Wolf: ... then why are you on this site if you dont believe in it? and besides, i can believe if i cant.

Anonymous Wolf: not to be rude but... these spells are the most posted on this site, now if u excuse me, imma eat fish OwO

Anonymous Panther: theres a difference between real magick and this make believe you are falling for. these fake spells bring gullible people to the site, which brings ad revenue, which keeps the site free for those of us who do real magick so we can communicate with other people in our community. you are not a cat girl, cat girls aren't real, real magick doesn't contradict nature, Anonymous Dolphin speaks the truth. i hope when you stop playing pretend you don't assume magick isn't real because it doesn't work like it does in the movies.

Anonymous Wolf: well where is ur proof ...
Anonymous Horse: Anonymous Wolf, her proof is in the fake that she has educated herself on what magic is. Give it a try, you might learn something that benefits your life.
Anonymous Panther: My proof that cat girls are not physically real? Perhaps the fact the only people who walk around with cat ears are wearing headbands? There's also the matter of how magick works, magick is a natural energy, humans do not have natural cat ears, magick works with nature to bring desired changes, and since cat girls are not physically real the spell will not work. If you actually studied real magick you would understand that.
Anonymous Cat: Anonymous Panther and Anonymous Dolphin actually it's not against nature it is just making some blood cells or whatever move around to turn you into another species

Anonymous Snake: A fictitious species, and it does contradict natural law. If we go with your theory of ''blood cells or whatever'' it still does not work because in order to cause a mutation of your DNA you need to introduce a virus or organism into your blood, which this spell does not do. This spell claims you can go ''I am a cat, meow'' and in nine days become a catgirl. In short, this does not work.

Anonymous Hyena: Magic is the ability to control and alter the energy that makes up the universe. With enough patience, will power, focus, and belief you can do anything with magic, the only limit being your imagination.

Anonymous Dragon: Anonymous Hyena, Thank you, that's exactly true.

I understand other people are entitled to their opinions. However, what I don't get is this:

Why are you attacking a rather harmless form of magic, when there are significantly more worrisome and unethical 'spells' on this site?

Read the transcript of this spell, titled "Dark Lust of the Flame".

Write the intendeds name on the paper, set aside.

Burn the paper with the name on.

Say:

"Blessed be,
spirits do what I ask of thee
this rite is closed."

What. The. Fuck.

That's mind manipulation, pure and simple. It's shit like this that's the problem, not people trying to become nekos. Forcing someone into a (likely) sexual relationship is called rape. That's disgusting.

Apparently, in the minds of these people,

Saying shapeshifting spells are fake > Taking down mind-controlling, horrific 'love' spells.

That's not right. Unless you must, avoid this website. It's not a good place for avians, nekos, werewolves, or any kind of non-human.
