I think the Mythical community could use a 'rebranding', to say the least. Here's why:
1. "Mythical" implies that we aren't real, which we very much are.
2. The term "Mythical" means things related to this community are difficult to find. Search "Mythical" and 99% of your results are going to be articles on mythology. Not exactly helpful, is it? Alternatively, you could search "AWTOK" and find 5 or so websites run by the 'conspiracy nut' Mythicals.
3. Outsiders don't take us seriously with the "AWTOK" and "The Storm" terms. To them, we sound like paranoid conspiracy nuts with a superiority complex. Not a good look.
4. New terms would help separate the Mythical community from the subliminal and otherkin communities. Otherkin don't progress towards shifting like we do, and most subliminal users aren't searching for shifting subs.

So today, I had a panic attack over a jar of marbles, almost ate a rock because I thought it was chocolate, and I might also be seeing shadow people. My life is halfway to fuckfest.
