vi. infirmary

You wake up, your hand travelling to your throbbing side. You wince in pain when your hand grazes the skin. You look around you. You're in the compound infirmary, an IV on your arm.

You try to recall last night or last days events. How long have you been sleeping? You know you were on a mission, but something must of happened.

  You look around the room. Bucky. What if something happened to him? You sit up but the pain rushes through your wound.

  Your eyes dart around the room, and a nurse comes in. "You shouldn't be sitting up like that, your wound is still healing" She says, and then changes your bandages. "Do you know where Bucky Barnes is? Is he in the infirmary too?" The nurse smiles, "He's okay, i'll get someone to call him up"

   You sigh in relief and smile when a familiar figure comes through the door. "You're awake!" Bucky exclaims. "How long have I been sleeping?" you ask, must've been a lot, if he's surprised. "A day and a half" He replies, sitting on the edge of the bed.

   "I'm glad you're okay" He says, stroking your hair. You smile. "Was the mission successful?" you say, you can barley remember. "Yes. It went well, we saved them. You did very good, got a dagger to the side and the shoulder though" He replies, smiling.

   You didn't realize your shoulder was wounded too, but at least the mission when well. "How are you feeling?" he asks. "I'm fine, I can't feel my shoulder, but it hurts more here" you reply, pointing at your side.

  "You'll be fine in a day or two" He says, placing a kiss on your forehead. You hold out your hands, motioning for him to come lay with you. "Cuddles will definitely help" you say sarcastically. "I'm sure"

   Bucky lays down so you can rest your back against his chest, careful so he doesn't hurt your bandaged waist.

You lay your head on his shoulder as he strokes your arm, and fall into sleep again.
