Chapter 25

Alex's POV

Oh. My. God. He did not just ask me that. Finnegan frigging Harries just asked me to be his girlfriend.
He looked at me, his eyes hopeful and he gave me his genuine smile, showing his pearly white teeth.
I removed my hands from my mouth, and I could tell he was nervous.
I gave him a wide smile that would show my hidden dimples and gave him a little nod.
At first he didn't react and then when he finally knew what was happening he gasped and ran a hand through his hair in relief. "That's... that's a yes?!?!" He laughed nervously.
I nodded again.
"Oh my god, Alex, are you for real?" He asked again.
I chuckled, "yes, I am."
He threw his fist into the air and yelled "SHE SAID YES!" as he ran around the field. I laughed at his cuteness. He came running towards me and I put my hands out to defend myself. He chuckled and he wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting me clear off the ground.
I shrieked and he spun me around. "YOU SAID YES!!!" He cheered and finally stopped. "Ugh, I think I'm gonna lose the sandwich," I chuckled.
He chuckled back, "sorry."
He wrapped his arms even tighter around me and nuzzled his face into my neck.
I could hear his muffled voice saying, "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you!"
I giggled, "I love you too."
He looked up and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he laid both hands gently on my back. It's been so long since we've just been like this, not giving a damn about who sees us. We pulled away for breath and I smiled against his lips. "I missed that," I whispered.
"Me too," he smiled. He laid his forehead against mine and he smiled, his lips brushing against mine.
The sudden rumble of thunder scared the hell out of me. I jumped a little and clung onto Finn. He held on to me tight. "Shit, I think it's gonna rain," he mumbled. Right on cue, little water droplets started falling. It was just a slight drizzle at first, but suddenly it got heavier. "Come on! We gotta find shelter!" He looked at me through his wet hair. He looked so freaking hot, I couldn't reply.
"This isn't the right time to stare babe," he smirked. My eyes shot up to his and I blushed. I smacked his chest and he laughed. "Come on!" He smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me along with him as we ran.
