Alex's POV

We ran to a nearby diner for shelter and everybody looked at us. It was super awkward until a lady spoke up.

"Oh my goodness gracious! Look at you two, all soaked! You're gonna catch a cold if you don't get yourselves warmed up!" She was clearly in her 50s and she looked like a really nice person.

"Oh don't just stand there! Follow me," she gestured to me and Finn to follow her into the kitchen.

She made us some hot chocolate and I gladly took a sip from it.

"Just leave the mugs in the sink when you're done, hons. It's on the house,"she smiled and left the kitchen.

"Damn, this lady's hot chocolate is the best. She's got fine skillz man," Finn licked his lips.

"The cold's getting to you, babe," I chuckled.

He turned to look at me with an evil grin. I gave a confused look.

"What?" I asked.

"You just called me babe," he smirked and poked my cheek. I couldn't keep the redness off my cheeks so I slapped his hand away and he chuckled, pulling me into a sidehug.

"I like the way you call me babe," he continued.

I smiled even though he couldn't see it. "Are you blushing?" He asked suddenly.

I shook my head,"nope."

"Aww, I wanted to see my cute Alex blush," he poked my other cheek.

I laughed, "oh my god Finn, what the hell has gotten into you? You're like possessed or something."

He shrugged, "I'm still shitting rainbows at the moment."

I laughed even louder, "seriously? Shitting rainbows?"

He chuckled and nodded.

He has officially gone out of his mind.

I shook my head and stood up, releasing myself from his grip, and made my way to the sink.

"Hey, where're you going eh?" He called after me.

"Putting the cup in the sink," I said. "Babe." I could feel him smirking and almost immediately his arms were wrapped around my waist, nearly causing me to drop the empty cup.

"Sheezus, Finn," I chuckled.

"Woah don't get all Lily Allen with me now, babe," he shook his head and did some sassy move that Tyra Bangs would do. I laughed and he chuckled back. We placed our cups in the sink and made our way out. We thanked the lady and she told us that we were welcome anytime.

"I like her, she's nice," Finn whispered.

"Yea, me too," I smiled.
