"Maybe giving in is just for the better.. Maybe, the avengers won't really need me," the girl mumbled to no one in particular, her focus on the breathtaking sunset on display in front of her. The yellow and orange hues seemed to put her in a trance, she couldnt break her eyes from the sight. A quiet scoff caught her attention, snapping her out of her daze. She turned her head to the source. Sarah had completely forgotten her father was even sitting next to her, so the sudden sound somewhat startled her.

"Give up? I didn't raise a quitter, you're better than that," he said as if to be scolding her, but was truly just reminding her how much potential she had. Tony cared deeply for his daughter, more than anyone. Including himself. He knew what she was capable of, and he hoped she did, too. She hung her head in shame, he was right. she didnt want to disappoint her father, she just felt as though she was extra weight that didnt need to be there.

She wouldn't admit to that, though.

"Yeah, i know.. Built my own suit and everything. Being Arachnid has become who I am, I can't just give it up now." Her reply was more of a reminder to herself, rather than an answer. A reminder that what she was doing wasn't for herself, but for the innocent citizens that could be in danger. This brought a smile to Tonys face. He knew she had it in her.

"I'm Iron Mans daughter, I have a legacy to continue," she spoke as a determined smile pulled at her lips. Her father rested a hand on her shoulder, he was proud of her. Only 15, and ready to take on forces evil no one would even dare to speak of.

"That's my girl."

Sarahs eyes welled with tears as she recalled the last memory she had with her father. She would continue to make him proud, she would continue his legacy. He was up there, somewhere, watching over his daughter that he loved so dearly. She had come so far, made so many friends, the avengers practically family. She couldn't lose anyone else.

The girl tilted her head, letting the small rain droplets fall freely onto her face while she looked up at the sky where her and her father had last sat together. For a moment, it was calm. No battle cries, no haunting memories, no police sirens to follow. Just the gentle, calming, pitter patter of the rain, falling onto the concrete she sat on. She stayed in place for a few minutes, unaware of the gentle voice calling out to her.

"..Sarah?" she faintly heard behind her, quickly moving to dry her face and stand before turning to see the owner of the voice.

It was Clint.

She sighed and straightened herself, no one could see her like this.
"Yes? Is dinner already done?" she asked quietly, attempting to hide the obvious rasp in her voice from the hours of crying. Clint replied with a simple nod, yet the concern written all over his face was not easily hidden. As he went to say something, Sarah spoke.

"I'll be down soon." It was a moment before he hesitantly nodded and turned to leave, but not before muttering a few last words.

"Don't forget, we all miss him. We're all in this together."

The girl went silent and watched as he left. She knew they missed him, she really did. But no one felt the same pain she did, being his only child. She knew all the years they had spent together, all the missions and battles they had fought together. Just thinking about his name was painful. She couldn't handle it, she wished they could feel the agony she was in.
