Counting Till the Clock Strikes the End (o6)
I tried my best to steady my breathing, careful not to wake Tucker, who had wrapped his arms around me.
My mind flashed back to the memory, Jude.
The name sounded so familiar.
His face, his grey eyes and blonde hair, all so familiar.
Tucker stirred beside me and I kept still as possible. After a bit of time, I turned so I could stare at his face.
He had a smile on his face, so cute. I smiled slightly at the thought.
I raised my hand and brushed my fingertips against his cheeks, the feel of his skin against them gave me a shiver.
I closed my eyes, pulling my hand back to my side and slept.
I was sitting on the couch, reading one of the books Tucker handed me. Hayden was cooking breakfast (I was kind of scared what he would put inside the food to kill me) while Tucker sat next to me, with his arm around my shoulders.
A bang on the door made me jump, my heart raced, who would it be?
“Shit,” I heard Tucker muttered.
The banging continued while I sat there, with my eyes wide, full of fear.
“Hide!” Tucker pushed me downstairs to the scary basement; I obeyed, not wanting to die.
I walked into the room and Tucker said “I’ll be back,” and shut the door.
I walked around circles in the room, here I was, back where I started.
I pictured me lying on the bed; tears stained my cheek and my ankles and wrist full of blood.
I shuddered.
I hear the door being opened by Tucker.
“Good morning,” I heard the person say.
“What are you doing?” I could hear the coldness in Tucker’s voice.
“Visiting my lovely brother, and I heard something very interesting the other day from Jack…”
I heard Tucker trying to slam the door in the persons face, but the person stuck his foot out.
“Leave, you’re not welcomed here,” Tucker growled.
The boy at the door pushed away the door and came in.
My heart raced, what if he was a hunter?
I’d be dead.
Should I hide? Will Tucker protect me?
Questions raced in my mind and my breathing stopped when I heard the boy coming up the stairs.
Tucker quickly ran towards him, pushing him back.
“Leave,” he repeated.
“Where is she?”
My heart stopped, I’m serious, it literally stopped, was he asking for me?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Jack told me everything.”
“Leave.”
“No.”
I strained to hear what was next.
“Please?” I could hear the desperateness in his voice.
“Get out.”
“No.”
I dug my fingers into my roots, feeling a bit light headed. I blew out a breath and dropped down on the bed.
Then, I hear Hayden’s door being opened.
He walks down the stairs, and come to a complete stop.
“Jude,” his voice seemed like he was taken back.
Jude!?
Oh my god.
This is a joke right?
Right?
“I heard some interesting stuff from Jack, so came here to confirm a few things… so is she really…?” Jude’s voice was uncertain and vulnerable.
My brain was itching, like, seriously itching, as if somebody was tickling it. The voice, it was so familiar.
Why can’t my human memories just come back all in one?
Before Hayden could reply, Tucker had thrown a punch at Jude.
“Get out!” I heard Tucker pushed Jude out roughly.
“I just-” Tucker cut Jude off with one last hard push, sending him out the door, and then locking it.
“Let me in!” Jude pounded through the door.
“Bastard,” Tucker muttered under his breath.
Authors Note:
I shall stop here. I know its short but … I have my reasons. Reason one is because I am stuck, as in having writers block. Reason two is because I have writers block. Reason three is because I have writers block.
