"Cut the act."

The blonde boy looked at Luke confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"I can see right through you."

He smirked.

"Ah, I should have expected this. Luke Peterson the Wicked can see right through my mask huh?"

"Don't call me that," Luke said harshly, feeling that same sense of shame as earlier.

"I'll call you whatever I want," He leans on the counter.

Luke stays silent.

The baker sighs, "Look, if you tell anyone, I will personally see that you are killed.  Slowly. Painfully."

"You sociopath."

He laughs, "you don't even know what that means, do you?"

Silence fills the room again.

The pink-eyed boy chuckles, "not like anyone would believe you over me anyway."

"Zander might," Luke said.

"Please, that boy is head over heels for me," Leon goes back to getting the food for the duo.

"So you're just playing him," Luke growls.

"No, I feel the same," Leon places a bag on the counter.

Luke felt sadness pang his heart. But why? He didn't know.

His heart just hurt.

"Hey, guys I'm back," Zander came out of the bathroom, then stopped, "did something happen while I was gone?"

"No, nothing happened, Peterson and I were just talking," Leon smiles.

Leon eyed Luke for a moment, a look that defined that they were enemies. Then he looked back at Zander.

"Alright," he nods and goes to get his food, "where's Cheryl?"

"Oh, she's on break, it's lonely here without her."

"I'll stay with you," Zander jumps.

"No, we still have stuff to do," Luke grabbed his caretaker's arm.

"Wha? Oh, right, sorry Leon, I'll see you later," he waved at him as Luke tugged him out the door

"Hey wait," Leon ran over from behind the counter, "Zander, can you meet me in the town square at six?"

"Eh!? O-oh sure."

"Great, it's a date then," Leon smiled and waved us off, "Bye, see you at six."

"B-bye," Luke pulled him out the door.

Once they were outside Zander started jumping up and down in excitement.

"HE ASKED ME ON A DATE! HE ASKED ME ON A DATE!" He jumped, "Gah what am I going to wear!? What am I going to say!?"

Luke felt his heart hurt even more.

"You're acting like a girl," the demon facepalmed trying to hide the feeling.

"So? You've probably never been on a date. Plus, women are cool too!"

"I have been on a date before," Luke crossed my arms.

"Mhm, sure," Zander started walking.

"I have!"

"No, I believe you," The purple-haired boy chuckles.

He reaches into the bag and pulls out some bread.

"Here," he hands it to Luke.

"Thanks," he took it from him feeling their fingers brush together
