The cane that was made of ash wood in the old man's hand hissed in the mid-air before it hit Dongju's lower back. He let out a loud groan as soon as he felt the pain stung his skin. "I didn't raise you disappoint me!" he raised his cane again and hit his leg.
"I didn't send you to school to cheat during your exams!" with another hit on his leg, Dongju fell on his knees, gripping on his thin uniform and clenched his eyes to bare with the pain that felt like burning his skin.
His family already heard about what happened when he entered the door of their house in which results to what's happening right now; his father is punishing him for something that he actually didn't do.
"Why can't you be just like your brother? Why did I ever have a son like you?!" his father harshly exhales a breath and stared down at him with anger and hatred in his eyes.
"If not because of you, Heeun should've been still alive until now!" by the mention of his deceased lover, Dongju's step mother scoffed, placing her teacup back on top of the table before she looked at him.
"Honey! We already talked about this! Don't you ever mention that bitc—"
"Shut up, Bomi! I'm not talking to you!"
Bomi curses under her breath, rolling her eyes and crossed her arms on her chest in an annoyed manner. Dongju's father takes back his attention to him and glared down at him, "For sure, Heeun is disappointed at you too."
Tears brimmed the teenager's eyes as he bit his lower lips to stop them from trembling. He kept asking himself inside of why do all of these things happening to him. For how long will he have to suffer from the judgemental eyes, sharp words and mistreatment of everyone to him?
For how long can he hold on, hope and pray that one day, everything will be alright?
When will he experience how to be cared and loved sincerely? When will he experience how it's like to have a real family who corrects him nicely when he made a mistake and supports him with his dreams? When will the people have even a little consideration to him and understand him?
When will they ever treat him like a human too?
"Stand up. Don't come show to my face again until I told you so. Go to your room and stay there." he demanded. Dongju forces himself to stand up on his trembling feet, keeping his mouth shut up from letting out hisses and sounds of pain.
He kept his head down and slightly bowed to him, "Y-yes, father..." he turns around and walked out of the office, limping.
His father looked at one of their maids and said, "Lock him up on his room and never let him out until tomorrow morning." without hesitation, the maid bowed to him respectfully and followed his order.

Keonhee glances at the door of the classroom for the nth time, hoping that he'd see Dongju enter through it but to his disappointment his friend haven't arrived yet up until now. It's been a day since the incident and Dongju didn't came to school yesterday.
It worried Keonhee since Dongju had once told him how strict his parents were and how they treat him. They must've done something to him again and he didn't even want to think about what could that be.
He bit his lips anxiously, closing the book on his hands since he can't even understand what he was reading anymore. "Oh god, please tell me he's okay..." he sighs, running a hand on his already messy hair.
On the other hand, Dongju entered the school, keeping his head down for his eyes to never meet anyone elses. Every student that he passed by sent him some looks and said inappropriate words about him.
Still limping, he continued walking towards the direction of his classroom.
"Well, would you look at who decided to show up after being caught stealing the answers for the exam." Youngjo said, loud enough for everyone there to hear and immediately looked at who he was talking about.
The amount of attention that was given to Dongju was intimidating enough to make him stop walking and just stood there, still looking down at his feet. Sounds of murmurs and whispers filled the room like the bees in a hive, busy working.
Youngjo stood up from his seat and approached him, walking around him like a predator guarding his prey. "What made you think that you still can come at this school, hm? Have you not learned your lesson yet?" he asks in a teasing tone.
Just like everybody else, he wanted Dongju gone. Why? He doesn't know. He just hates him for some reason. Or maybe he just hates how weakling and stupid he looks like because that's how Youngjo is.
He hates seeing someone dumb existing in front of him. He wanted to be surrounded with "cool" people just like him. Everybody likes him because of how handsome and rich he is. Everyone loves him even if he's so full of himself.
"Hey." he pushes Dongju's shoulder, with two fingers but strong enough to make him move backwards a little. "I'm talking to you, you dipshit." he pushes him once again but Dongju still kept quiet, not wanting to do anything with the problem of the dark haired man.
Youngjo scoffs, "Are you deaf? Yah!" he raised his voice and pushes him with a stronger force. Dongju limped a few more steps backwards then his back hit the wall behind him. His bully laughed sarcastically, "Wahhh. Look at this little piece of trash."
He placed his hands on his hips, he sucked his inner cheeks, annoyed. "Have you swallowed your own tongue, huh? That's why you can't talk? Or have you decided to keep your mouth shut since everything we tell about you was true?"
"That's enough, Youngjo."
